yes!! because i feel like i'm leaving things out. here is my attempt at it with some examples
1. Classic Rock (Doorz, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Pink Floyd)
2. Hiphop (Rakim, KRS-One, Supernatural, Eyedea, Q-Bert, Craze)
3. Funk (George Clinton, Herbie Hancock, Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder)
4. Jazz (Miles Davis, Theolonius Monk, Charlie Parker, Blame)
5. Classical (Ludwig von Beethoven, Amadeus Mozart, JS Bach)
6. Hard Rock (Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, Metallica)
7. Punk (The Clash, Rancid, Dropkick Murphy’s)
8. Blues (Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Yardbirds)

Jazz-20's vocal,30's vocal and some of the big band stuff,bebop,harbop,cool,some fusion)
Classic rock(as in Pink Floyd,The doors,)
Experimental artsy rock-from The velvet underground,Loe Reed and cales stuff to Tom Waits,Nick Cave
and I wouldt call ween artsy but ween,and some beck stuff falls in this catagory
Classic soul and funk..like james brown.and fukadelic..and various 50's-60's obscure soul groups
some early rock and roll and rockabilly stuff-Charlie Feathers Duane eddey etc.
Classic surf-Link Wray,dick dale,The ventures etc.
Old school hip hop late 70's-early 90's

I like the classic Dirty lus..southeren blues..
jump blues..
some of e 70's blues was cool..Im all about the horney dirty raunchy blues. |
