New collab...

epic trancey melodic vocal stuff... with a reese and amens.
UPDATED.
fixed the mix some, made drums more punch. added a sub. changed melodic stuff. shortened stuff. more suspense. MORE CRITIQUE.

dope synth work.. loooong intro.. drums seem a bit quiet in the mix compared to the bass/synth combo.. beef em up!! nice vocals and arpeggiations.. might lower your bass as it seems to overpower a bit in the mix.. just overall tuning, play it on others systems etc.. the drums just arent hitting enough..
ps.. listen to an epic plejik tune and notice how the drums sit in the mix..

constructive, hmm I'll try, before that I'd like to say this track is THE BEST I have heard from you guys, let me say that again THE BEST track yet...
I do agree with magnafide, the drums are sitting below the other sounds in the mix, when most djs like em more prominent.
Possibly the mix down was done after a long sesh, ears get tired... happens to me all the time.(since my life has been one big sesh for some time) Or just needs to be heard on multiple monitoring sitches.
If I were you, for the time being, I would toss aside all other tracks to work on this.

Much appreciated guys.
We had a chance to listen to it on the Evolve system so we know what we have to do - the lows need to be beefed up a bit in the synth, and the drums need to hit harder. Logic should fix that!
We'll be sure to post again when it's updated - and yeah seriously we cranked on it for hours at a time so needless to say perspective on the mix got a little bit off-kilter. hehe.

this is a sweet tune. not really feeling the amens tho... not much high end on them... sound kinda muffled.. a part in the tune with no reese, just a clean sub bass would be nice too.. overall a very sick song.

sounds really good, alittle too trancy for me now a days [tryin to get away from all that tech stuff]. nice vocal sample but i really think the drums sound low...

I dug it at Evolve......it sounded like a lot of work and thought went into it. I couldnt really tell about the levels of drums and what not cause the system was cranked so loud....but the track got people moving and thats the important thing! Nice one fellas! |

Hey guys,
impressive tune...very ravey.
I think your drums are getting covered by all the reese and arp synth frequencies. try sorting the reese out first...then mix the drums.

ditto on all the above...i'd love to hear an all tech version w/ less of the busy classic drum stuff and more futuristic sounding to go w/ the trance element and spacey vocals...liked the intro's moody darkness especially; but you know i'm a sucker for that stuff. |

phrantek and co...you never cease to amaze me...the pace you work at and the quality of your work is amazing....
I agree with some sentiments...
I think a vip version with some new drums using more modern breaks would be fantastic |
