Re: agitator and enemy tank ( dnb )
That string pad sounds a little too dry for my taste, maybe add some reverb or chorus or some other effect on it. I also noticed that the drums don't really change up...maybe add a fill or two every 4 or 8 counts. I find it helps to break up the monotony. The break kinda just happens...I tend to like putting little lead in sounds right before a break happens just to help build the tension. Maybe like some noise which rises in pitch until the break occurs. Also, accenting places where drums come right in (like after breakdowns) with crash cymbals is a great little addition you can add to your drums. This tune sounds sort of mellow, so I would suggest a really slow crash, almost like a gong. I think your drums sound really clean, and I think you've created a really eerie vibe goin with all the little sounds. It sounds like it could be interesting when it's all done. |

Re: agitator and enemy tank ( dnb )
which tune were you referring too? im going to assume enemy tank because thats the tune that didnt have change. i know exactly what you mean. i usually put the hi hat changes later because i use redrum pattern sets after. those were rough drafts. the first idea put together.
im looking to work more with agitator. its missing some sounds, but i just dont know what it is. perhaps better effects? |
