8 Years - Over 500 DJ Sets - Thousands of Memories
For many years Deep in San Diego has been a staple of Southern California Drum and Bass. Deep has been the first to break many deejays, tracks and careers. Without deep many of the acts we have seen would not have been possible. So many friends, so many sounds, and too many memories will be lost.
After this Thursday many of those who religiously got their fix of drum and bass, socializing and relief from life’s pressures will no longer have a place to call home.

No doubt I'm sad to see it go, every week for the past eight years I knew where I was going to be and who I was going to be with... many things have changed as well as the people... 52 x 8 = 416 - the amount of Thursday Night Deep Shows done in San Diego, not to mention the countless others that the Deep Sound System was involved in. Part of the passion for me was to share Drum & Bass the way it was supposed to be heard, on a large bass heavy concert style sound system... There is not much money in D&B so it was never about that... Times change, people change, technology changes music, savor the sound of pressed vinyl, embrace change or you might get left behind...
...I would like to thank all the people who have enjoyed themselves on this journey, I would like to thank the people who have put hours upon hours into making D&B DEEP and SDD&B what it was and is...
What I will miss the most is what I like to call "BASS FACE" - defined as the moment a D&B track drops with that bass sound that makes your face go "UGHHH"...
I already feel the void that is going to be left by Thursday Night... For some of the people I have meet MAY 15 MIGHT BE THE LAST TIME WE SEE EACH OTHER. The thing about doing a night is you meet so many people many of which are good, unfortunately there is not time enough in this world to spend it with them, I would like to see as many of you as possible on May 15.

No doubt, there have been some great times at Deep over the years. It was my first home for DNB when I first moved to SD 6 years ago. It's been a wild ride! Much love and respect Deep kru!
