as far as the comments being made about silly and uninformed comments...there are a lot of us that have lived in this OC area our entire life, and we all know what hurdles we have had to jump in the past. anyone remember the rave at palace park? the cops and the city vowed in a city hall meeting not to long after that to never let that happen again.....

as an OC native, if there is anything i can do to help push this...let me know.

Actually I (SDF1 - 1/2 of Dirty Deeds) have lived in the OC for this entire period D&B has been around ( I was the 1st D&B DJ from orange county in fact as many folks know - house parties to raves to massives / mixtapes to dubplates to uk record labels / the original pioneer from day 1) and I was also one of the promoter/coordinators who threw Diz-E-land, the 'dance event' @ palace park you speak of. As far as cops or anyone vowing to 'never let it happen again' I have no idea where you got that info but it's totally fabricated. In fact, there were a couple more smaller scale events thrown @ palace park before it was turned into the BOOMERS franchise, so I have no idea what or where the info you have came from. There have also been several events thrown in the OC over the years, that were properly permitted and went off just fine without a hitch - perhaps you were there for them, maybe not.

Orange county along with downtown Los Angeles was the birthplace for what you're calling 'Raves' and anyone who's really been around since the early 90's knows this..
Club Post Nuclear - DJ Dan's Funny Farm Euphoria & the Fullerton Ice House are just a few of the OG spots of the rave scene and they were all in the OC. Since then the 'dance party / rave' scene has moved iits central base around from Los Angeles, the the North Hollywood / Angeles hills, and of course the 909 area (home to such legends as Masterdome - Fox - Cadillac etc).

It's now time to bring things back to the OC and we intend on an amazing event with this year's JUJUBEATS which will set a defining and prestigious level of event entertainment as you will soon see.
I'm personally proud to be a part of this event, and we do invite you all to be a part of this awesome music & art festival B3 has in store for you.
Folks, take a look at the first comment that has started this thread. You will find a link to the official video preview for JUJUBEATS, where Brett from B3 takes you on a tour thru the new location, discusses and clears up the rumors and shows you a blast from the past flashback of the great times B3 has given this music scene in the past years.

I have been in OC my whole life...same house pretty much..knew about the Fullerton shows, just never got to experience it.. all i know is what has been put in front of me...I knew a few things went down when Eddie was working at Palace Park, but only made it to the last one. I remember the UCI parties, i remember a few at metropolis, and i even remember a show thrown at Kokomos (RIP)

I hope to see good things in this area...

I'm am so excited for this party, even more so to be performing not only with a ton of my friends but also some amazing worlwide talent. Thank you to the OC for bringing this back and everyone involved for inviting my to play!

Born and raised in Orange County and glad to see it blow up again!
OC has always been part of the underground since day one...Play Skool in Anaheim, Funny Farm in Huntington Beach, Ice House in Fullerton and all of those flyer back yard party's from back in the day!
Now i'm going back to my roots! Jujubeats party's have always come threw.

I remember jujubeats @ santas village. omg what a night that was.
The legendary set by DJ DAN was incredible!

Im going just to support this event+ not to mention B3 has brought back juju w/ a very solid lineup and location is NEAR ME!

We're definitely proud of this year's line up - it represents quality D&B music and some of the top artists to ever touch the genre.

I hope Taxman is going be there. His Myspace says he's going to be in birmingham on Aug. 16th. Either way, it still going to be a good party. Looking forward to hearing some good sets from the locals. Peace

As for Taxman, he's confirmed - I'll ask him to update his myspace; not sure he posts the dates on there but we got him after that show was in UK was cancelled.

the D&B area is kind of lacking imo. it'd be great if Mickey Finn and Kenny Ken played oldschool sets but i know i'm dreaming.

the deciding factor for me will be the price and what time it ends. anyone know?
