Ricky Force’s story began all the way back in 1999 when he landed a guest slot on legendary Dublin pirate station POWER FM alongside Don Rosco of the Bassbin crew. It didn’t take very long before he was playing out regularly around Dublin city, landing gigs with the likes of the Gappy Foundation, Studio B, Bassbin ’s legendary “Refuge” night in Switch and becoming a well known face in the Irish Drum and Bass scene.
In 2002 he was offered a show on Raidio Na Life 106.4FM , an Irish Language FM and Internet station broadcasting across the greater Dublin area; he used the opportunity to showcase a wide range of Drum and Bass styles, from blissed-out atmospheric rollers to darker old school tearouts and all points between, very swiftly gaining a reputation for consistently tight and creative mixing – especially from guest DJs who he invited along and who then had to come face to face with the setup he was forced to work with week in week out!
A residency at Bassbin’s “Refuge” night soon followed, playing in rotation with the cream of the crop of Dublin Drum and Bass heads, including Rohan & Naphta , Don Rosco, Polska, Elmo, Beta 2 and Zero Tolerance.
With the demise of Bassbin some years later sounding a bit of a death knell for Dublin Drum and Bass in the capital Ricky , together with partners in crime Barry Delta and Safetyboy decided to test the waters with their own night, initially called “The Beat Suite” – their game was better than their name, thankfully, and they went on to be a valuable platform for local DJ’s as well as flying in the likes of DJ Trax (Moving Shadow, Outsider), John Doe (Counterintelligence) and Wilsh (Inperspective). One (merciful) change of a name (to REACH ) and one move to a bigger venue later found the fledgling crew at the head of a 12-strong collective of Drum and Bass and Dubstep heads, running one of Dublin’s most respected nights, as well as regularly hosting stages at festivals all around Ireland.
Ricky has played in clubs in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Belfast, London, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, The Hague and New York, alongside DJ’s as varied as DJ Trax, Wilshy, Code, Martyn, Randall, A-Sides, Amit, Outrage, Modular, DJ Lee, Beta 2, Nookie, Zero Tolerance, Flight, Rohan, Breakage, Polska, Randall, Equinox, Remarc, Martsman, Dillinja, Fabio and Double O.
Ricky started producing in 2005, and by the next year already had the four-track “Aerial ep” signed to renowned net label Exegene . He never looked back and he’s been busily tucked away in the lab ever since, twiddling knobs, chopping and splicing samples to his heart’s content, trying to hone and perfect his sound. In February 2009 he set up a digital label “ Space 2 Pace ” to cater for his growing interest in the slower end of the Jungle spectrum, releasing full on 140BPM Jungle Techno and slow Drum and Bass music. The maiden release was a two track affair, the “First Bite” ep featuring tunes from Ricky Force and Gremino . This was followed by another two-tracker, the “Troopers” ep featuring Fushara . Growing up listening to the sounds of punk and hardcore, life long San Diego resident Jason discovered undergrounds in late 92. He began
buying various styles of electronic music. By the end of 93, he was frequenting parties happening in San Diego, and the occasional party in Los Angeles. Through these experiences he realized that it was the
sound of Breakbeat Techno/'ardcore and Jungle that moved him. Having
already been a vinyl junkie, his obsession moved on to Jungle vinyl.
Jason slowly learned the art of Djing on hand-me-down gear from
various friends, slowly buying gear as he could. It was in October of 96 that he played his first party, which happened to be one of the "TECHNOSTATE" parties in Los
Angeles called "Helter Skelter".
In his ongoing search for more Jungle/DnB vinyl, Jason discovered
California Sound and Lighting in San Diego in '97. At the time it was a small shop with
an even smaller vinyl department. This became his main source in San
Diego for vinyl. He soon became responsible for all of the store's
D&B ordering, which quickly changed the status of the quantity and quality of DnB flowing through this pivotal shop. Jason is to this day still the buyer for CSL.
In 1999 Jason began throwing miscellaneous events. His first
residency was at the legendary "PROPHECY", a weekly event in San Diego
that set new standards in the quality of talent and sound being
brought to San Diego. After about a year, Jason along with a few of
the other residents of Prophecy began a new free weekly called
"|||DELETE|||". Delete was dedicated to bringing the best San Diego
and Los Angeles based DJ's , as well as giving up-and-coming talent a
chance to play to a knowledgeable crowd. This was a move that has
made him the anchor for San Diego's D&B community. Jason is now a resident for the Los Angeles based "ALMOST FAMOUS" production crew.
Over the years, Jason has played alongside some of the worlds top DnB DJ's and
producers. Some of these include Bailey, TeeBee, Calyx, Klute, Usual
Suspects, Hive, Keaton, Dylan, Loxy, Ink, Evol Intent, Total Science, DJ Lee, UFO, R.A.W., Dieselboy, AK1200, Dara, Psidream and the list goes on. He has played many of the highest quality events in Southern California, such as all of the "TIME MACHINE" events, all 4 "FUTURA/BassCon" events, "RESPECT" several times, "RAPTURE" several times,and is in high demand. Keep an eye out for this "throwback" dj at a night near you.
Ronnie & Ridda
DJ RONNIE STARTED SPINNING BACK IN 2000 AND STARTED TO PLAY OUT IN 2006. ALONG WITH MC RIDDA HE BECAME A STAPLE IN THE SAN DIEGO DRUM AND BASS SCENE VERY QUICKLY. AFTER A COUPLE YEARS OF PLAYING OUT IN SAN DIEGO HE FELT HE WAS READY TO SHOW THE REST OF THE WEST COAST WHAT HE HAD TO OFFER. WITH HIS EPIC RECORD SELECTION AND QUICK MIX'S HE GAINED A FOLLOWING FROM SD TO PORTLAND OREGON WHERE HE TRAVELED TO IN 2007. NOW HE HOLDS A RESIDENCY @ TIMELESS AND IS ONE OF THE MOST BOOKED DJ'S OUT OF SD.
Tyler Rosier aka MC RIDDA HAS BEEN A FACTOR IN THE SAN DIEGO DRUM AND BASS SCENE FOR TEN YEARS NOW, BUT IT WASN'T UNTIL 2007 THAT HE STARTED TO GET THE RECOGNITION AND NOTICE THAT HE HAD BEEN WORKING SO HARD FOR. WITH HIS VERSATILE STYLE OF HIP HOP, REGGAE, DOUBLE TIME, AND TRADITIONAL SINGING HE HAS EARNED HIMSELF A RESIDENCY WITH DEEP(SAN DIEGO'S LONGEST RUNNING WEEKLY), TIMELESS (LOS ANGELES) AND A REPUTATION FOR BEING THE MOST ENERGETIC HYPE MAN IN SAN DIEGO.

Anomie Grew up in San Diego, Ca. He began his music career in 1998. he began to listen & buy jungle records in 2001. He has now progressed into playing all types of electronic music around the party scene of SD. My groups include Mystro Productions and Rouge DJ's.
DJ Intrigued is the mastermind behind the original BEAT BRAWL held at brick by brick in san diego. Working with MyStro Productions many big events have been happening in San Diego for this kid!!! Known to many as Joshthebear, this Kid is making moves and going out on a limb in the EDM Community!!! He is Pushing the envelope and smashing the Sounds Systems everywhere he goes!!!!
Through 2007 Josh gained residencies on two nights at Kadan in Normal Heights in San Diego, CA. Going for a year strong, was a Monday night weekly called “Bring your own Mondays” which was a great success. Along with all this, Josh continued residencies at an event called "Underground Playground" which ran 3 saturdays a month.
Other accomplishments that Josh has had have included playing at a few underground raves such as NovemberFest in November 2007, "Get Dirty" in April 2009. Josh has also Played the ocasional mainstay weeklies in San Diego at "Knight Vision" and "Liquid Sundays" He also has Played Drum n Bass in Ireland on Dublin’s Radio Na Life 106.4FM with DJ Class A.
As 2008 rolled through Josh was blessed and reach many new levels, Josh along with Mystro threw the Acclaimed an well talked about "BEAT BRAWL" at Brick by Brick in Nov. 2008.
And in May 2009 Josh along with Rebellion and Shawnliu Brought you the First ever west coast appearance of L.A.O.S. (LARGE AMOUNTS OF SOUL).
With Buzz still in the Air Josh is working with many other people to put together more Quality Drum n Bass events in San Diego for 2009!!!
