yeah dimas... we unfortunately had to end the monthly in TJ when don loope closed down... but things are in the works to start it back up again, should be somewhat soon if all goes well. have you seen what they did with that space? it's so damn nice! i tripped the f**k out on how huge it is now... i have a feelin you're prolly gonna get somethin goin there as well, eh? |

Sumosound, yeah Centro Bar (formally Don Loope) Looks great! very imaginative use of the space! I love the seating and the lights, a nice setting for an abstract evening.
Thats great that your planning on doing something in TJ again..
I was going to play one of the last nights of TJ's La Leche but it fell through..
How are all the other La Leches doing?

the original la leche in london still goes off but it's now called Big Soup. the la leche in new york is on hiatus but it's possibly starting back up again soon. there have been a couple one-offs in buenos aires, argentina... but nothing consistent. so, as of now, it's just LA. personally, i think a la leche in mexico city would be dope, but i don't make those decisions. anyway, that's the lowdown on la leche.
so is futura going to be at bar centro? if not, where? |

LOL... ok, good point devious, i'll try and clarify. it'll be a variety: from chill bossa nova in the beginning, to mainstream sambas, to the hard and raw sambas (batucada), to afro-brasilian, to brasilian influenced house and d&b. carlos nino just got back from visiting brasil and the word is he got a lot of sick vinyl... so i know he'll be rippin s**t for sure. the last la leche brasil session WENT OFF (especially all the lovely ladies that were there), and i think this one will be even better. if any y'all never heard the raw batucada type stuff, well, it's super tough... trust me.
dimas, yeah sonic 360 runs the show... and i'm gonna keep pushin for mexico city mos def. good luck with your venue hunt.
