Hospitalised [NHS 100] CD

VARIOUS ARTISTS:
“HOSPITALISED”

Release: 30th January
Catalogue Number: NHS100CD
Format – 3x mixed CD

To celebrate 10 years of Hospital we’ve put together the fattest primary care package to give both hardcore fans and recent NHS converts the chance to revel in some of our finest moments past, present and future! 71 tracks from the labels catalogue, skillfully blended across three action packed CDs! Hold on tightly now:

On the first disk, founding father Tony Colman (aka London Elektricity), gives us a rare glimpse through the mists of time, and takes us to a simpler, more innocent age. From NHS1 “Harp of Gold” to tunes like “Song In the Key of Knife” ,to Origin Unknown’s remix of “Round the Corner” to “Part of Me” by Klute. 23 classic cuts, craftily squeezed onto one retro megamix.

Disk two is mixed by our resident superstar dj High Contrast, and re-lives the halcyon days when the NHS takeover really began. Massive tunes like “The Basement Track” and “Racing Green” will have you shaking your stuff.

The final reckoning is new-skool saviour Cyantific’s powerhouse crunch mix. It’s a shamanic performance on two turntables, with double drops and teases all over the shop, but never losing site of the Hospital masterplan. There are exclusive new cuts from Q Project, Logistics, Danny Byrd and more. High quality Fast Soul Music to look out for in 2006.

And keep your eyes peeled for the 10 YEARS OF HOSPITAL tour dates, taking place worldwide in the first half of 2006.

Don’t Sleep!

“HOSPITALISED” NHS100EP

Release: 30th January
Catalogue Number: NHS100
Format – 2x12” vinyl

As well as the triple CD we've rounded up eight of the label’s finest for a mega-soundclash, across not one, but two slices of prime 12" vinyl. The full spectrum of Hospital sound is represented here – from the warm summer vibes of Nu:Tone & Syncopix, to the grinding synth-scapes of High Contrast & Logistics.

A) High Contrast VS Logistics “If I Could”

Matt Logistics is a busy boy right now, teaming up with Welsh film buff High Contrast here for a widescreen epic. Big, big intro tune, with gnarly synths, grinding reeces and a tasty drop, it’s sure to be tearing up the Fabric system this winter. An emotional powerhouse, and with these to producers collaborating u know it’s not gonna be standard fare… some next level action!

B) Syncopix VS Nu:Tone “Upgade”

Warm vintage tones and weighty B-Line action. The collab was kicked off when Nu:Tone made a stop off in Hamburg on a recent German tour, and was brought back to the UK to be given a heavyweight mixdown in his Cambridge Lab.

C) London Elektricity VS Logistics “Search Engine”

Logistics and Elektricity team up for some classic fast-soul action. “Search Engine” sounds like a long-lost Hospital nugget unearthed and rubbed down 2006 style. Guaranteed to put a grin on the face of any true NHS fan, and any discerning dancefloor!

D) Cyantific VS Q Project: “11th Hour”

Flip the script once more 2 more artists who are hot for 2006! Since the massive “Don’t Follow” featuring Diane Charlemagne, and with their album ready to drop in the spring, Cyantific have moved into the big league. And what is there to say about the man genius that is Q Project which hasn’t been said already? “Eleventh Hour” combines Cyantific's quirkyness and that grinding Q Project groove which has been taking over d&b dancefloors of late!

NHS7100 - THE PETER NICE TRIO:

“Harp of Gold” b/w
“Flight of the Vulture”
Release: 30th January
Catalogue Number: NHS7100
Format – 7” Vinyl

Going way back in time to where it all began! Strictly Limited 7inch repress of the original a-sides from NHS 1 & 2.

Back in 1996 (while High Contrast, Logistics and Cyantific were all still in short trousers) two chaps from North West London were busy setting up their own little label as an outlet for their left of centre drum and bass creations. Who would have thought that 10 years later the label would have become the multi-national-corporate-superpower that is HOSPITAL RECORDS! (ahem)

The Peter Nice Trio (who’s true identity remains a mystery) released a number of 12”s on the fledgling Hospital label before disappearing as quickly as they had emerged. They left behind a legacy of highly original (some might say controversial) music which has become the stuff of legend for hardcore Hospital fans.

Now available again in a compact 7inch package, for diehard fans and recent NHS converts to enjoy, as part of the NHS100 / ten years celebrations!
