Replacing RCA plugs on 1200s?
The left [white] plug on both of my MK2s is out of commision. One will work if I jiggle the cord a bit, the other is DEAD. Has anyone changed the RCAs on their turntables, is it easy? Should I buy the OG ones from Technics, or buy some heavy duty ones by Monster Cable? Thanks In advance...... |

i got mine cut off and replaced [it was thru a friend of a friend that worked for technic]... what a relief not having to worry about a table cutting out. def replace them with a heavy duty one so that you don't run into the problem anymore.
also since you have the case open... might as well permanantly ground the wire inside by soldering it in. i got that done too and it was prob the best thing i could have ever done!!!!

I've heard of the "grounding" mod, is it really safe? Do the newer 1200s have this feature, or is it a strictly aftermarket deal? |

my 1200's are grounded, and they work great taht way. putting the grounds back in makes it worse! |

I replaced mine with MONSTER cables..they work well..but you gotta make sure you do it right.. |

i have the same situation, but with a vestax 06pro. on one channel, both rca's are dust. i think i have to replace the channel but cant find s**t |
