I'm Saving for a MicroQ keyboard that f**ker is just sickening.. 5! oscillators per voice, 3 lfos , 2 filters and it's wavetable synhesis is virtually infinte...man i'm torn between that and the 777 i wan't them both but not enough $$$ im gonna start selling crack for gear money--hehe |

Re: Waldorf synths
I got one to use by the synthshop cause they didn't have my ESI ready so they passed me a Q ( the yellow one ) table model. I got some good sounds in it and there's loads to modulate but I found it eventually as a nice addition to your setup when it's complete with good stuff, like the sound I made were for background use only to create atmospheric depth in a track. But as for basslines/strings/pads etc etc I wouldn't recommend it considering the pricetag. But the ol' 4pole Pulse is a damn good bassliner. |

Re: Waldorf synths
Damn dood w/ 5 oscillators i can make a bass that will physically make you fall on your ass.
I mean look the VirusB, has 3plus a sub and i make DEEEP basses, but the Micro-q has 3+ 2 subs.
I had a microwave xt a while back(the orange one) and unfortunately i did't know much about synthesis at that time but i got some good sounds out of it but like a dumbass i sold it, it's actually the only thing i ever regret selling.
I came to find out that ram records had one in their studio. (f**k!)
I'ts funny but over 4 years of working at music stores and playing w/ the gear you develop an ear as to what synth makes what bass...
I noticed that the Nord Lead 2 was particularly popular in 99 and early 2000 before then I realized the korg Z1 and jp8000 were all over the place too.
now it's the Virusb/indigo the SupernovaII, norld lead 3 |
