Gorilla Warfare *pre-party statement*

"The word on the street is that Gorilla Warfare has all the makings to be one of the sickest shows that Los Angeles has seen! All performers are confirmed, sound systems are being tested, all turntables are being modified, now the stage is set . . ." -unknown

Nonstop in collaboration with Project Sweatshop brings to you GORILLA WARFARE on March 1, 2003. Unlike other parties this one is going to be a swift kick of adrenaline in that ass from beginning to end. All DJs are confirmed, the location is locked and the street soldiers are now being called to the forefront. Tickets have been moving out the door quickly from Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Arizona and all the way east to Texas (I also have confirmation from troops making the journey from north of the boarder). Headlining the jungle room we have the 'dapper don' himself the one KENNY KEN straight from London. While most of us were still in junior high playing tidily winks and grab ass, this man was solidifying himself as a drum n bass legend. Now he makes an appearance in the concrete jungle of Los Angeles sure to drop a heavy set. We also have 2 no holds barred DJ battlez which is sure to be deemed instant classics:

Battle #1: Capital J (N20) vs. RAW (Void)
-Trust me people have been begging for this one for a while . . . so for all ya'll, here it is! These two pioneers of bringing turntablism to jungle have decided for one night to put their friendship/bond/labelmate status on hold in order to battle for jungle supremacy. Capital J has no fear as he comes into RAW's LA turf and RAW is no slacker himself letting just anyone take his LA crown from him.

Battle #2: General Malice (Big Kat Recs.) vs. Krinjah (Hand Grenade Recs.)
-2 pioneering soldiers in the new ragga sound, also have decided to cut all ties from one another for one night in order to battle. All the cards are on the table as both make the trek out to the city of Angels to bless us with their production styles, their cutz (many dubs are sure to be rinsed), their mixing and their cutting it up. The new ragga sound will be on display in battle form, make sure your ass is front and center.

We also have performing in the jungle room, LA legend and champion, DJ CRS? and Herb'n crew representative, JACKAL. In the hip hop room we don't slack with the lineup either. We have CASUAL & PEP LOVE (Hieroglyphics), ZION I, MR. BRADY & DJs' DREZ & SHAGGE. And for all you MCs (real? and wannabes?) we have a $300 MC Battle. You better come original and fresh with yours or else get ready to get served.

So there you have it, a phat line-up, a sick venue, a bangin' sound system, DJ battles, MC battles, jungle and hip hop . .. . . . GORILLA WARFARE!!!!!!!!

Jungle Battlez *how they go down*

So u know there are going to be 2 DJ Battles @ Gorilla Warfare. Read up on what went down in Washington DC when General Malice & MC Stamina Darcsun went to sound war with Trilogy sound @ LOVE & WAR JUNGLE SOUND CLASH!!! It was no holdz barred between DJs & MCs, tempertures rose, dubs were dropped, lyrics were fierce, but gladly everyone walked away in Respect. Damn Gorilla Warfare is gonna be sick people!!!!!!!

RAW VS CAPITAL J
will be 1/2 hour sets each, then 1/2 hour of both of them on the decks 2x4 goin at it back & forth, and be ready i spoke with RAW last night he has already warned me to let our soundguy know it goin to be mad BASS being dropped, no joke...

GENERAL MALICE VS KRINJAH
will be both dj's on the decks at sametime 2x4 for 1 1/2 hours in wich for the first half they drop 3 rec each back & forth
2nd half hour will be 2 recs each back & forth and the last half hour will mostlikely consist of a back to back dubplate session...
