Anticon Fans?
Believe it or not I hadn't even heard of Anticon until about March of this year. I got the mp3's off their site and found my brother has some of the Anticon heads' stuff on vinyl...anyway I find that i dig them pretty heavy...very intelligent and complex rhymes, and very experimental beats.
Anybody else feeling these guys? |

Music for the Advancement for Hip Hop only...and more for the feelings it induces than the quality of the content...
I can't really get down with the Gigasingle, etc etc...it's more of that "not really hip hop, hip hop" like Themselves to me.

Yeah, some of it is pretty lo-fi, but there's some real gems, especially Sole and Alias, they seem to be the best MC's of the bunch. |

This album is a compilation of Anticon artists and also includes a few special appearances.
When I first got this album I instantly was attracted to the sounds of each track. I am not very fond of some of the artists on the Anticon label but I must say that this compilation represents Anticon in a great way.
It's definitely an acquired taste though.

I love how they all sound together.

Anticon used to be my favorite record label. They're still in my top 3. Sole's "Bottle of Humans" is my favorite hip hop LP of all time. It's getting re-released soon, so buy that s**t! |
