does this forum really belong here?

i want essays explaining rationally, and with good logic why this forum shouldn't be on fnorg.

Re: does this forum really belong here?

your points will be conveniently ignored due to the lack of essay format of your response.

now go into the corner and cry.

Re: does this forum really belong here?

Yo, hip hop music is essential to jungle for three very solid reasons that I am about to explain. One, hip hop culture was an influence to jungle culture. B.) Breakers and poppers wouldnt have ever learned how to dance if it wasnt for the breaking as the fourth element of hip hop. And FOUR there are many junglistic people out there who double as wiggers.

Early breakbeat hardcore producers were not very knowledgable about hip hop until the saw this one movie that I forget the name of. But in this movie, mc's, dj's, graffitti artists, and breakers alike gave birth (this is a true story) to hip hop culture and started a scene. Hard core producers in England felt like they wanted to experience something similar, so they started a form of music called jungle. So going back to our jungle roots, we are a child of hip hop culture.

Dancing is essential to jungle music, and it wouldnt be the same without the breakers or the poppers. I have been to house music parties, and let me tell you, those people dance like they were plain intoxicated. Breakdancing and popping, a transition from hip hop to jungle, influences other members of the crowd to get the party hyped and get moving. I know everytime I see a popper rockin the spot, I start to wiggle my arms like they were noodles, liquid style. So as you can see, an element of HIP HOP fuels jungle.

You should also take note that many junglistic people out there double as wiggers. People like myself will be like "rewind my selekta" one minute, and then be like "yo sonny hit that blunt fool, thats that s**t, on the realz, get jiggy ya'll - bling bling". I can speak from experience that hip hop music gets my head moving almost like I was listening to jungle. and then of course everyone knows that hip hop beats on a 33 1/3 pitched up to a 45 (turntable technical talk here) turns into a jungle beat, which also makes me feel black.

So for these very valid reasons, I think you should consider keeping hiphop on junglescene and not on fnorg. for the influnce of jungle music to producers, the 4th hip hop element of breakdancing, and that white people like me can walk down crenshaw and mlk and not feel out of place. these elements exist in harmony, and lets keep it that way.

respect.

just to let you yall know - I love hip hop. I was a ragga dj when ragga was big, I was a hardstep/jump up dj when those styles were big. Then along came tech step, which I wasnt feeling at all, and everyone but me jumped on that bandwagon. much love to drum n bass, but I would rather play dance music with soul. all the jungle tracks I own are all ragga or hip hop influenced.

but I also do not come to junglescene to talk about hip hop. this forum doesnt exactly keep my finger on the pulse of hip hop music. so if it moves somewhere else, I am not losing sleep over it.

That's funny you mentioned that Canoe, I was about to put the same quote down in this also.

As far as an essay goes, I've pleaded my case several times, put it where you want to man.

Re: does this forum really belong here?

ok well you're just saying that it's an influence to dnb... so really it doesn't belong on here any more than a classical section or a techno section or a dancehall section

thanks good points.

Re: does this forum really belong here?

hahahaha poetry! not again

well since people contribute so much in funds these days why dont you just ask if they would prefer if it remains or not? seems to be the most logical thing to me rather than have heads right essays to you.
