LUPE FIASCO :: "THE COOL"
One sick sick sick MC. In the words of my brother "a true cassette tape mc"...meaning that u are constantly rewinding him. His imagination, his mastery of the english language and the double entendre and his storytelling. I think conceptually few few can make songs like him. Anyways THE COOL is one of the best albums (any genre) of the year. Finally got good beats to match his ridiculous mc skills! |

I've seen you championing his cause for a while on here xyz and I have to agree that it is a shame the way they have marketed this guy. The personality that comes across is great to me it just feels like hes getting the leftovers for some of his promotion. As a more casual mainstream fan, i think he comes off like a more down to earth kanye, but i guess that hasnt really sold without the larger than life personality. I hope we hear alot more coming out...
also, that santos dude reminds me of a cross between robbie williams and adam levine. |

i've got MAYBE 100 tickets left for Lupe @ HOB 1.17.08 till its sold out. 6 months ago he was worth 300 tickets. Now he is going to sell out within 2 weeks of the show going on sale. Lupe is finally getting some respect! |

I don't think lyrically i have heard an mc so slippery with the english language since Eminem in his prime, but unlike Eminem he diggs deep with the self conscious, self conflict, real life issues and an imagination that skips across the solar system like whoa!!!
