Sorry mum, I know I've disappointed you again
it's just so hard, for me to stay straight
especially when I feel, just like i did
back when

I just haven't been looking
in any of the right books
or boxes
or houses
or cities
I've been stuck doing what's right

just maybe I wouldn't say these things
they jump from corners of spaces
of distant areas--perhaps closer

From the second I started reading there was no chance of stopping.
That really reeled me in.
