COME SEE US! WORLD PREMIERE
*HEY HOMIES AND PEEPS!!!! JUST WANTED TO GIVE YOU A HEADS UP ABOUT THIS SHOW I’M IN PREMIERING NEXT FRIDAY OCTOBER 5TH, ONE NIGHT ONLY!!!
Usually I do not pressure people to come see me perform, but this is the BIGGEST & MOST CREATIVE/OUTSIDE THE BOX show I’ve ever had the pleasure to be apart of and it would mean THE WORLD to me if you all could PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try and make it out to this. Especially those out there closest to me (my second family), since my grandparents are too scared to drive out to LA, hehe. It would be so dope to see some familiar faces in the audience. I promise you this show is going to be OFF THE HOOK!!! It is not your typical “HIP HOP SHOW”. Come enjoy an unforgettable evening of street dance, film, poetry, and craziness such as an UNDERWATER CYPHER by Lux Aeturna!!! We have been practicing HARD since July, several times EVERY WEEK and sometimes weekends. It’s been a blessing getting to work with dancers such as Kujo (artistic director), Amy “CatFox” Campion (artistic director), Peppa, Rawbzilla, Machine, Brian “Beee” Bello, Drew Looner, Wendy “WenRock” Lam, The Get Down Dolls, Lux Aeterna, etc. All general info is below. There are many pieces in “BTC”, but for those interested in what my involvement is specifically just fyi I’m in these 3 pieces:
**“The Get Down Dolls – Out The Woods” – House & waving/tuttting/groundmove piece with 2 solos (with Pandora as co-choreographer, special thank you to Preying Mantas for her creative ground move contribution)
**“Lost In Musical Sensation”: A "structured improvisation" piece with solos to a poem about the experience of getting down in a cypher written by Pandora. Edited & performed by the notorious Pocho Joe. This will be the first piece after intermission.
**“Cosmic Warfare" (The Battle Section)” – Crazy dynamic creature like Breaking piece that visually displays the psychological side of battling...also with solos (and a battle against Beee, hehe)

This urban dance spectacular unleashes funky beats and rocks the floor with Antics Performance (BGirl Catfox), The Get Down Dolls (featuring Ms. Mighty, Psychy, Pandora, Peppa, Wenrock, Janet Castillo & Cristina Benedetti), J.U.i.C.E. haha...this ain't no high school musical LOL but that promo flyer for our show does make it look kind of like CATS or something..lol. :P
Anyways just wanted to say Thank you so much for the continued support everyone... Sorry but I just came back from the dress rehearsal so I'm a little emotional right now, haha...it all came together really nicely, I'm so proud of the whole show. Everyone is soooooo amazing...this culture...is so amazing. I've given up so much for this opportunity...job (eek, feeling the financial pains lol), free time (damn i miss THE BEACH & just kickin it with the homies haha), INJURIES (inflamed spine from all the rolling around I've been doing for one of the pieces) etc...but at the same time there's been so much GAINED. Knowledge, learning other dance styles (breakin, housin, lockin), creativity, contributing to something larger than myself and seeing personal visions manifest into a reality..I could go on and on...but I got to sleep now cuz the shows tomorrow. :P
Thanks again everyone for the support and hope to see some familiar and unfamiliar faces tomorrow. I promise you...you WILL leave inspired.
My favorite parts of the show:
the Underwater Film - dancing underwater looks really magical (think Whirlpool appliance commercials)
The B-Boy Timeline piece that dances out the history of the dance.
the Get Down Dolls, Cypher Poem, Cosmic Warfare pieces - ok, I'm a little biased b/c I'm in those. lol
Lux Aeterna & Operaworks collaboration - experimental b-boying meets experimental opera singing.
Remember if you're a student the tickets are only 5 buckaroos. Bring yo student ID...tickets ARE available at the door!

I already told you, but man, Pandy, I'm so bummed I can't go. If I worked a day job, I'd be there in fancy underwear screaming everywhere. 
I'd go just to see you and Wendy Lam. Damn, this is going to be good. Maybe there will be some video clips I can check out later.
