Well, I mean, dancing IS immoral. You should all be happy that fascist OC wants to protect your souls from being free. Yay Big Brother! |

Re: no dancing at PROOF???
Santa ana does not make up the OC.
It is just a city inside the county.
With that being said, im sure you guys will someday come to the OC and have a great time with hot girls and great music. |

Re: no dancing at PROOF???
I think it's really a "nudge" directed at the city council members of SA (or whoever makes/enforces the laws/restrictions) and a shout to the public for help (how ever they can) to expedite the bureaucratic mess that DTSA is facing during this “revamping” process. There was also a real good article in the OC weekly regarding future businesses that are trying to open up in DTSA and the the bureaucratic struggles they are facing. Since this a serious issue for any pro or casual dancer you should send a message to the council or start a blog on here : http://www.santaanaartsdistrict.com/ for dancers right .
There is a huge potential for S.A. to become “THE” downtown of OC and also a huge risk for it to become the s**t hole of OC . We just have to hope all theses rules and restrictions will only act to help us not to hinder us from the arts.

Re: no dancing at PROOF???
You can't just hope when you're dealing with bureaucracy, because inaction only helps it grow. You have to fight. I might recommend getting a petition together and having business owners for these kinds of venues make the case with you.
The idea that this would take some momentous public office maneuver to get it going is only a small part of the equation. A bigger part is putting the pressure on them. I bet a protest at Santa Ana City Hall would get some attention quick.

Re: no dancing at PROOF???
There have been cops that have come into the venue when it's completely packed and they just end up leaving. The owner has never been fined or anything, it's not even a thing.
TRUST is a really fun venue and its always poppin off. No fights, no cops, no drama whatsoever.
Don't let this cloud your "judgement" of OC. Don't knock it till you've tried fool! Come this Saturday, it'll be uber fun! Woot woot! |

Re: no dancing at PROOF???
That's funny..i was there about three months ago..and the whole place was filled with dancing!
Wasen't aware of so many Orange County haters. You know what's also funny is that alot of the peeps that don't post here any longer would always tell me, "there is too many s**t talkers" |
