Capt. J San Diego Aug 26th
I got there late hoping to see Kyzersoze for his birthday and to catch the mastermind Capt J on the decks!!!
well Kyzersoze was no where to been seen but there was no missing Capt. J.
you heard him and saw him crushing it tune after tune!!!!!
big time sound with Deep at the controls.
the MC was a crazy hype man. and there was some creepy old guy rubber necking all the girls at the bar buggin some peeps out!!! thanks frank for keeping the peace that dude would have been toast!
brez thanks for coming out of retirement to host this party its been awhile since i have seen you cats out. sorry i missed all the others sets. i heard no complaints at all about the night (other then chester the molester at the bar)....

wow... 3:30 pm and i can almost function again...
got there just as Paco was goin' on the decks and of course, he killed it as usual. then saw Danger-S for the first time in a long time, and all I gotta say is he dropped Beastie Boys ~ Paul Revere !!!! whole set was sick, but that was the highlight for me. and then...
Capital J. you CANNOT miss this man on the decks, he's jumping around the whole time, so into what he's doing and so full of energy, it was great! i've waited 5-6 years to see him live, always missed his sets back east due to bs. even better than i was expecting, seriously. had the whole place dancing nonstop, and reminded me just how much i LOVE jump-up. i loved almost every track he threw down, which is rare. so, so, so worth the $10.
the down side is that now i HAVE to go to nocturnal... i need more jump-up in my life, stat. it helped get me into all this jungle bizness once upon a time, but i haven't heard much of it since moving west. last night was much needed! |

Yeah last night was fun....nice to rock out the deep sounds system again....simon and J tore it up...good to see some tablist action here in san D... nice turnout too....people were rockin the f**k out!!! |
