Funktion 3/14/07-- friction/grooverider/xxxl
so tonight was unplanned. I love those nights where you go out all last minute. I was supposed to be scrubbing carpet and doing laundry for tomorrow night's party...instead..all last minute like, I went to Funktion cuz I love friction and I saw he was going on at 1. I got there a little after 12:15 and caught a grip of grooverider. ill.
i was sorry to miss xxxl...but caught the last half? of grooverider's set and all of friction's. the place was on fire. what a good way to ring in the birthday. loads of fun.. a dancefloor full of happy people. woo! hugs..free drinks. thank you for all that hooked it up. can't wait to continue the party at respect tomorrow. boh! :D

Last night was a lot of fun... place was packed and everyone seemed to be dancin (yay!) Reid Speed and Krafty were awsome as usual. I liked the beggining of Grooverriders set.. was a bit tipsy and distracted by Friction's set so can't really comment. But ya all in all good times.... my ears still feel like they're bleeding ... ha! |

As a new-comer to the Forumz, and even more so the Scene (Last night was my first Drum & Bass event...ever) let me start off by saying it was more than something I'll always remember.
Better than the first rave experience. Bar none. The crowd was insane, the vibe just so engulfing, I couldnt get enough.
XXXL was off the chain, and Friction was everything I thought he would be live! & more!
I was probably one of those people that bought Louda a drink, and who knows who else. Thanks, and big ups to all those whom I was blessed to share that experience with last night...!!!
...quick note...YO XXXL...you had the floor a little dazed with that "Human Nature Remix" for a short stint...but when that bassline dropped...oooooooooooohhhweeeeeee...!!!

Wicked night!!!!!
SP MC had tech difficulties on the mic but still smaked it. It was real funny when he called me out for trainspotting a mix, that shows he was not just mc'ing but really watching the crowd and interacting. Class MC.
2 1/2 hours of sleep before a 9 hour work day is hell tho. Next thursday is gonna suck ass!!!!! |

I usually take a nap before Funktion yet miraculously always wake up on time. Even if the alarm doesn't go off I'm on this weird thing where if Funktion is starting I wake up. Never missed a night Other clubs? yes. Funktion? no. Too big |
