man...what to say? I don't have a voice today for one. woke up with some random bruises (from dancing up against the stage?)and swollen eyes from getting sweat and make up in them all night. hahaha. a perfect wreck after a perfectly ill night.
from the minute we walked in there was a nice healthy sized crowd. Poise and Phrantek had everyone hyped. sick tunez. Atlantic Connection up'd the energy more and when big bud came on, he finally got the LA welcome he deserved. the crowd was buzzing..screaming..everyone getting down onstage, off stage, standing at the bar lol. smiles all around. I wished it would never have ended.
I have always loved big bud's vibe, it was just 5 times more lovely to see/hear him playing muse at its home spot. he was happier at this spot too cuz he could actually vibe with the crowd this time. nice and the vibe was super ill.

Oh my word! I think that was the best vibe I've seen at a show in a LONG time! You couldn't turn your head without seeing someone smile!
Matt and I were there super early and the crowd was already pretty thick. By midnight the place was PACKED! It was so nice to see my LA familia!
Poise dropped "Life's Worth Living" one of my all time FAVORITE tunes that he wrote! The crowd, including myself went NUTS! You killed it man! Freaking awesome!
Then Andy (Phrantek) took a hold of the decks and rocked tons of "HIS" tunes it was so refreshing to hear original music! PPR tunes to! hehe! Hands down one of THE best up and coming producers/dj's! Boom 4th level! We love you boys!
Atlantic Connection was on point! This guy really got the crowd moving! That was the first time I saw him play and I was VERY impressed!
As expected, Big Bud rocked the house! I seriously don't think I danced that much even at my own b-day party! My heart is beating fast just thinking about it! Such a treat, we are all DAMN lucky to live in a place where talent of this caliber is out on the regular! And for 5 bucks! Can't beat that!
Big ups to Kemst for helping us pass out copies of PPRLTD001 to the crowd!!!! All you lucky people who got one....play that shhhiiiiit LOUD and PROUD! Support your hometown record labels!! ;-)
I screamed so loud I lost my voice but gosh was it worth it!
I'm sure my girl Louda would agree, there was PLENTY to scream about last night!
Big ups Danny! It was nice to meet you "mug to mug" last night! See you in two weeks! When I come to pick up Graham!
Don't miss out June 22nd! TC1 and Stress level, Submorphics, Origin,+ Jahwy boom! CAN'T WAIT!

MUSE was tight big ups. Big Bud has some nice tunes, & I have to give extra props to Kemst, when he takes the stage/mic he really gets the crowd move'n (he is the best DnB mc in L.A. right now, I had 30+ year old women ask'n me "who's that on the mic" and that never happens) good vibes all around. MUSE is back. |

Boardners is the greatest location.
I've never seen Poise before and I walked in the door to a classic track followed by him putting it down serious style and that was also my first time seeing Phrantek play out and wow he really killed it! I was losin it dancin all nuts runnin outta breath breakin a sweat. By the time A.C. came on I was already drenched, just lovin the vibes and goodness. Kemst was the man with the mic doin it right as always entertaining to the fullest.
Then Big Bud came thru and went HUGE, hearing his cds is always very nice but getting to see him put it down like that up close and personal RULED! I, rather everyone was impressed with a nice little closer set from the man Phear.Boh!

I'm a lagger posting like a week later...LOL... but seriously MUSE blew my mind... what an insane night of music. I brought one of my best friends who got into d&b because of artists like Big Bud and he had not been to a show in like a year or so... needless to say he wants to start coming otu to d&b shows again because MUSE was such a sick experience! Welcome back, and lookin forward to hitting up Boardners again soon! |
