Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our event. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly as did we.

Thank you to Hive, Busdriver, Myka 9, Social Security, Maximum Moves, Heavy Hittahz, Priest, AMC, AdamAntium, Dre, Re:Pete and Deco for comin' through and tearing up the stage. People dancin' and rockin' out all night.

Thank you to everyone who helped put this party together, especially AdamAntium, KidLogic and Johnny V for managing the sound and Joey for the audio recordings it went off nicely.

We will RIZE again!!!

Wow.....what can we say? That s**t went off. Thank you to everyone for RIZING and rockin' out to our set. We had soooo much fun. We couldn't ask for a better release.

Thank you to the RIZE collective, Solomon, Jona, Joe, Ashley and Jordan, and the rest of the Grapevinez crew for making this s**t happen.

All the artist threw it down propper.

We hope you all had a good time. From the stage it looked like you did and we appreciate the response. we hope you enjoy the cd and if you didn't get one, we have many more to go around.

Rize was f**kin sick as was expected. Little to my surprise, Dip and J-Tec had the biggest crowd of the night. Normally I don't get all hyped up about my friends' djing but everyone should get a copy of Journey To A Special Place. It really does stand out. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Wow! That was one of the best nights of 'work' Ive ever had! So much fun, thanks to everyone who made it happen - that s**t was off the hinges from the moment AdamAntium took the stage to the second Child Support stepped off! Pure Fiyah from the decks and the mics were blazin too! I cannot wait to RIZE again!

Wow did Grapevinez RIZE to the occasion! I had so much fun! It was great to see all those smiling faces again. The venue was awesome, a little warm, but great. Crank that AC next time and it would be perfect! ;-) I had a few too many apple martini's but for 4 bucks eachI didn't feel too guilty! Gatta love drink specials!

All the dj's/mc's were incredible but I have to give it to my boys Maximum Moves Their set was by far the most hype! Congrats again guys on your new CD we LOVE IT!

That was the first time I've seen Child Support live and WOW, oh WOW, I especially enjoyed when he got on the mic, something about those accents, sexy dnb! BOOM!

Thanks to everyone who made this event happen! It was a night I will never forget! Can't wait till History! OH YEAH!

Yeah that hit and run was f**ked up!
I was running to go take a piss before we left and that s**t happend about 50 feet in front of me.
Then i proceded to run the other way into the parking lot towards our car and she takes off right towards me goin about 30 thru a lot with lots of us in there.
Wack ass, car crashin, scene leavin, lindsey lohan-ish HO!!!
HAHAHAH
lets just be glad nobody got killed!!!!

i was super full from food, but had a good time at RIZE! the event was top notch, i wish the sound was a louder cause with low ceilings that place should have basslines resonating (also those turntable shock absorbers would've done the trick with the skippin' of needles, but hell when itz rowdy itz rowdy :-)). but outside of that it was a full brock out session for reals. it was cool that Hive dropped like ol classics and let Mikah9 and Busdriver just ripp over s**t like back in the Konkrete Jungle days...good phun!

Big up all crew. Thank you all for making the event a great success and I hope that everyone had a great time.

Special big up’s to Solomon, Jona, Joe, Jordan, Johnny, Jeremy, Ashley, Lana, Adam, Luke, Johnny V for putting so much effort and dedication to making sure that the party went off BIG TIME. We accomplished our mission, the Blue Moon has NEVER had as many people (670) in the club. I feel admire you all and thank you for your support to the Grapevinez family.

Big up’s all the crew behind the scenes, who attend the meetings, put up with my s**t and do so much for the love of DNB. You are the soldiers on the frontline and my hat goes off to you all, you know who you are!.

Big up;s to ALL the artists who performed, I apologize for the small technical issues, this can happen when using a virgin venue. Great job in delivering great music and dropping dope rhymes. i say YES on the veune!!! The venue was tite. I didn't go in the smokers patio, but some Dubstep/breaks/electro in that room would kick ass! Venue was spot on + u can't hate on those drink specials~

agreed. the venue was great. i didnt drink but from the looks of the massive i'd say pplz shelled out $ that night. some dubstep in that 2nd rm would go off! altho i dont smoke cigs, im sure the massive who do appreciated that as well. if you guys at GVZ do make a pt2 at the spot, im there =)

I had a good night. It's been awhile since I have been out at a DnB event and this was a nice one to get my feet wet again. It was so great to see so many faces I haven't seen for a minute. I miss you all!!!

You ask for opinions about the venue Maurice, I got some for you.

The venue was absolutely beautifull and just about the perfect size for the event.

The heat really sucked though. And they did have the A/C on. I know because I was standing directly underneath one of the only vents I found for most of the night. So I'm thinking thats about as cold as the venue is ever gonna get.

Drink prices were a bit outrageous though. They had Hollywood prices outside Hollywood.

I can't believe they were serving martinis for $4. I'm not a fan of martinis, but had I known, I would have been a martini drinking motha f**ka that night.

Security wasn't too bad over all. Some of the guys had attitutdes, but that's to be expected.

I would say bring in some big industrial fans for the dancefloor, and work with the venue to make them offer some sort of reasonable drink specials. And make sure they post up the specials on signs because I can't read minds.

First off.. thanks to everyone involved and all the people who packed up the dance floor!

opinion on the venue:

Absolutely wonderful scenery in the venue. Clean bathrooms, big dance floor, nice bar, tv's and all the other trimings.
The sound being kept down is obviously a major issue with dnb heads like myself... PLAY IT LOUD!
The heat in that place was ridiculous, it's a good thing i had two other shirts with me that night.
I dont drink but from what i heard the bar prices were a little retarded. They weren't even honoring the special that we did have going. i had a friend buy a corona and a hieneken... it was 13 BUCKS!. Thats some bulls**t!
and to my understanding we(grapevinez) had the venue for the night.... so what the hell with all the people that came in the back door who just stood around giving hard looks trying to be badass while that horrible dj played reallyGAyton in the outdoor area... which felt like a casino cuz it needed some f'n ventilation!

So for the party itself ... absolute success and a damn good time.. just wish the venue had kept up to the rest of us!

thought the venue was nice and clean. Security was relaxed but a bit stressed at the begining, dont think they were use to the DnB crowd. But yeah very nice venue , every place is going to have its kinks that you need to work out. the only bad thing i have to say is the music in the other room and maybe some fans in there for all the smoke. othe rthen that thumbs up!!

Thank you to all who came out! The night was a complete success!!!! Big ups to my g-vinez family and thank you to Maurice for handling all the venue drama. As far as going back to that venue, if they made some improvements I'm totally for it!

1. The whole deal with them running that outdoor area and charging people to get in was WHACK!!!!!!!!!!! The music was WHACK!!!!!!! I think on that alone we shouldn't go back. We brought in the most people that place has ever seen and for them to show us that disrespect isn't something that we should deal with again.

2. Drink Specials: Only one bartender knew of the drink specials and when I got 2 martinis the bartender told me that she knew nothing about any specials! If there are going to be specials all the bartenders should know about them.

3. The AC needed to be up to the fullest!! It was so so so so hot in there, but I know they weren't expecting that many people so next time(maybe) they'll crank it up a bit more.

4. We should also have more control over the sound levels. I was out front at one point during the show and you couldn't hear a thing! They could stand to pump the volume a little more.

5. Now this is my own complaint because Lana and I were at the door the whole night, but the amount of people the venue manager had going through the box office was insane. I don't know if that could be something in our control, but it was distracting and honestly it made me a little nervous to be working with money and being surrounded by people I didn't feel comfortable around...

From the feedback it looks like the venue is hit once a few things can be worked out, sound, heat, no cross promotion.

The mission was to show the venue how the GVZ crew do and we did that for sure. They underestimated us but now they know. I have just returned from a meeting with them and I liked thier attitude and they are happy to work out what we need.

the next planned RIZE is FRIDAY 3rd AUGUST, 9pm - 3am and the sound will be what you expect from GVZ.

Sorry im so late 2 reply but this last weekend just kicked my ass!! I had an amazing time and thought the party was completely off the hook..Everybody that played toor the freakin roof off! Yeah it was kinda crappy bout the needles jumping around but I think every dj handeled it the best they could have and it didnt really upset the vibe 2 bad..People would just go straight back 2 gettin wild..Yes it was hot but when is it not hot at a club?? Maybe im jus used 2 it by now?? All in all I think the party was super siick and I had a blast! I cant wait 2 see whats in store for the next RIZE..
