I know people usually say the standard reviews, "it was sick! dope! tiight! ... haven't had this much fun at a party in a long time....etc." BUT, WOW! BIG BIG UPS to Drew & Upgrade for last night! Kelly D and Ironix opened up the night to an already almost full house and got the ball rolling! THen came up the Heavy Hittahz and they proceeded to teach the o.c. crowd how to lean like a cholo. By then the party was in full swing wall to wall heads and Mr. Subflo kept everybody rocking! That there is a full party more than anyone can ask for FOR FREE!!!! But, no there still was Capital J! This man is INSANE!!!! I would go on to describe his set but, if you weren't there why bother you missed out! Thank you again drew for showing everyone that a free party with a superb line up can still exist. You could have easily charged $5,10 bucks at the door and made a lil' profit but the fact that you did it pro-bono says alot and shows how you're moving this scene in the right direction. aiight i'm done, last night was fun RAGGA FUCKING JUNGLE  |

Unfortunately for myself i didnt make it out till almost 1:00 but got to catcy the majority of J's set which i really not even need to speak on , killa set !

Thanks to drew for havin me out.
Had a really good time playin with ironix.
He had the killer selection that was great vibin off of.
Def down to do that again.
Place was getting packed during the opening set which i knew was a great sign of the night.
Then the Hittahz came thru and bitch slapped all of us with some fresh new jump up.
Great stuff guys!!!
Subflo rinsed it out proper and got the crowd rockin real nice!
Then J stepped up............NUFF SAID!!!

OC is on the map. I have to agree with everything gzuz wrote. I like the low ceilings in this venue, makes the bassline come out sounding rock solid and super tight and best of all its FREEEEEE!!!!!! Everyone needs to help the promoter get this ship of the ground, because he is doing it for the love of the scene and not for a profit.
Big ups Drew!!!!!
Now for Capitol J: I can’t remember???? the last time I saw a jump up/ mash up set that was this good... Not to mention the amount of fun I had. All those that didn’t show up missed out in a BIG way.
But there is always next Friday. |
