The opening night will showcase one of America\'s Leading Producers - The Man who seems to be oozing nasty musical talent - EWUN ... Being a major artist on the U.K.s\' hot & cutting edge label - Lifted Music, and representing two top U.S. Based Darkside labels - Evol Intent and Human - EWUN is definately one of the bright new leaders in the worldwide D&B movement.
A Nasty intro will be served up by HAZEN - Stepping further into his repertoire to bring an Exclusive Twisted Journey Through the Darkside of Drum and BASS.
Heading up the Ragga Chamber - DIRECT FEED aka DJ.Com hardly needs an introduction in L.A. He has proved his dedication and longevity in our thriving scene. The stage will be set for his very Unique Jungle Sound!
MIZTAH LEX will be slicing up his custom delivery of Old School meets New School Ragga from his Deep Collection to his tight connection to the Ragga Dubplate Community. This is a chance for LA to hear MIZTAH LEX Flex with his legendary skills behind the decks!
Straight out of Rochester, New York, Ewun (Jake Stanczak)
has exploded into the international Drum & Bass scene with
an impressive list of releases on some of the industries most
prestigious labels, including Barcode, Lifted Music, Human
Resource & Evol Intent Recordings. Since his first world-wide
record release, his tunes have been destroying dance floors all
over the planet with an all star line up of DJ support from the
biggest and most influential DJ\'s such as Hive, Pendulum,
Dieselboy, Chris Renegade, Tech Itch, Noisia and Gridlok and
Aphex Twin.
His reputation has grown from of his trademark blend of
hip-hop, glitched breakbeats, twisted distortion and a never
ending supply of sheer attitude. Attention to detail, dynamics,
engineering, and dancefloor sensibilities have
made his productions stand out from the masses and have
gained him the respect of the global Drum & Bass community
and beyond.
This past year had been an action packed introduction to
the Drum & Bass realm for Ewun, complete with multiple
North American tours. Releases have not disappointed, with
‘The Divide’ on Evol Intent Recordings, ‘Face Off’
and the next-level remix of the Evol Intent classic ‘Horns
& Halos’ on Barcode Recordings. This year is already shaping
up to be huge with a European tour in the works and a list of
releases already out including the title track on the
\"Shades Of Black\" LP and the position of producing the Album’s
CD release. Ewun’s productions have also been licensed to
Dieselboy\'s latest mix CD ‘The Human Resource’. Still to come
is his most anticipated material to date. ‘Phonetap’ makes up
part of his debut EP for Evol Intent Recordings, ‘Screw up’
features for Lifted and ‘Reality Check’ brings collaboration
with Evol Intent on Human Imprint.
Between work in the studio on various singles, an EP,
collaborations, side projects, not to mention touring, Ewun
has been paying his dues and pushing to his potential with
every step.
Direct Feed (AKA Dj .Com, Chaos In Motion & half of Fixation)
has been takin over the Los Angeles Ragga/drum N bass scene by
storm. His Flawless cuts, Production and Aggressive Mixing is a mash
up of electronic maddness not to be overlooked. With several
releases Under Direct feed and the monster known as Fixation, he
has earned the respect of the scene\'s Most Influential artists.
The song \'Hatred Among US\' by Fixation and Mumblz (soon to be
Released on Cymbalism Recordings) has been Played by Gein,
counterstrike and several other artists that are internationally known.
