Awesome vibes in the venue ALL NITE!
Ok mr. fookin' HAZEN (the Samurai) laid down one of the meanest, dopest sets I've ever seen him perform - BIG up man!
ANDY C & mr. GQ - whoa my gosh!
wicked and wonderful, lots of great tunes and 3 hours ala 3 decks = a totally smackin' set!
Thank you BASSRUSH crew, you've once again brought us a spectacular show.

omg, i had such a wonderful time, i surrouned myself with the people i love and tried not to think about that crowd, man was it packed...
Andy C was totally what i expected, f**kin redicuously awesome!!!
I met some dope peeps in line, so it wasn't so bad for the wait...
Security were kool to me, but they were dicks to my homeboy's lil bro's friend, he was gunna go to the car to change his shoes, and when he tapped dood on the shoulder he flipped out told him to "never f**kin touch me again" and then he said they couldn't get in, they're barely 18 and was going to be their first dnb show..
it was sad but didn't stop me and my homie from having fun, lol...
WOW!! so much fun!!! still can't get that stronger remix out of my head

wasn't as horribly packed as I feared, and it was definately worth every penny, very solid night from bassrush...definately the best night I've been to in a long time...

best dnb show ive been to all year. andy played a LOT of classics! some great memories in a lot of those tunes. venue was packed, despite a couple fights, it seemed like people were partying like its new years - also big up to hazen! wicked set bro, taken people on the journey - loved it.

hmm.. guess my experience was different..
knew the lines would be long, but didn\'t know we\'d stand for over an hour.. oh well, that\'s andy c for ya!
it was wayyy packed in there.. cinespace is too small for this kind of event!! price said 15 dollars online but they hiked up to 20.. and they just do it cuz they can.. whateva
hot as hell in there, and barely room to dance.. no fans on at all for us older folk? lol (25+)
andy played some amazing tunes no doubt.. love his quick ass mixing..
but i\'ve NEVER seen him mess up so much!! i don\'t think it was him.. i think that place has bad acoustics.. ppl ramming the stage by jumping and bumping into it had andy stop the decks at least 5 times..
ppl fighting and moshing were not tolerated AT ALL.. good stuff bassrush, i applaud that for sure!!
lots of rowdy youngsters everywhere.. wish it could be at the vanguard again!

wow, andy c never disappoints, and to see him play a long set on 3 decks was sick, it gave him a chance to play everything from old to new, all vinyl. gq was on point and hazen started the night out with some nice rollers. the sound system was crisp and heavy. thanks br for making that happen |

I love Andy and GQ. Those tables were bouncing so hard, I think they were sideways at one point. Thanks Bassrush for making that club gig happen. It will inspire a new crowd who don't go to massives.
I bought my ticket online and only waited about 20 minutes which was understandable; only had to watch about ten people get in for free for knowing so and so. I could deal.
I would have enjoyed Hazen's set alot better if there was one MC up there. I have massive respect for getting up there and doing what you love. So I have been giving it numerous attempts. But Dino mixed with MC? was like oil and water. ? much loved by me because of his steady vibe. I spent the entire set of Hazen trying to listen to his mixing, but it was over run with Dino telling me to "walk it out,walk it out" and doing his own "Wack wack wack wack" sound on the come up to the payback sounds on the track; it just didn't gel with me.
I guess I was in a different mood that night. Or the the last three years... |

I may be biased..but I disagree...
dino and ? are perfect compliments to each other...they have their timing down perfect...and where dino brings the heat and the triple step...? brings the soulful, harmony..
I mean it's my own opinion..but I think theres a reason it's been just those 2 for over a year now
not only that...look @ their performance together...they both know when the other will shut up, and pick up... just my 2 cents

yep so i guess my experience was different too. while i have love for hazen, ?, andy & GQ i have to admit that i was pretty disappointed with the night as a whole. it was a heat-up getting in, security dudes were total bastards, the music kept stopping not only because of the fights but the because the decks were jumping, the vibe was a bunch of drunk/idiotic/rude kids who clearly never learned any sort of manners like saying EXCUSE ME when they're trying to walk thru the nonexistent space between me & my homegirl or saying IM SORRY when they step or shove into us on...ddddamn, i could go on but why rehash one of the worst nights out ive had in a long time. i wont be going back there and im pretty happy with that decision. |

and most say sorry when they bump you (maybe not for the real drunkies)
a little fight can happen anywhere, they are solved quick in Holland

No not really. they didn't compliment each other at all ( Dino and MC ?) I just couldn't deal. Don't like MC's stepping on the beat and sounds.
In fact this argument has been on here since the conception of the site.. To MC or not.. that is the question... Two MC's is a crowd IMO; even when they are taking a turn. Because the CROWD doesn't get a turn to interpret the music and where the DJ is going. So it is non stop for us, the audience.

As for most parties in Europe.. that is false.. it is only in the states brotha' that this mess happens: pushing, shoving, fights, drama.
Sometimes Berlin or other parts of Germany for the SKA stuff;or Klan stuff with the drama. . London is grimey and gritty East End style; but never crass; In fact, I have yet to walk into a bar, pub, rave, underground without getting compliments, crowds parting like the Red Sea, and women/men hugging and embracing me. The ocassional cigarette burn, but no little gangsters pushing me off of stairs instead of walking around me.
From Buenos Aires, Ginza District, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Taipei, Perth, Montreal, Havasu, even the tiny island of Koh Phi Phi and Maldives... not such a thing..
Andy C killed all the drama with me in about ten minutes... what is it about his RAM stuff??? or GQ? I mean something.. something? I thank Bassrush for securing the Radius clause in our favor this time..
I really enjoyed the fact I got to see some of the people I hardly get to see. That in it paid for the entry fee, parking, and crowds... I would give this a thumbs up for me getting in some quality time for with my girl and homies I have so much love and RESPECT for!!

When we tested the dex before doors opened Hazen & Dino both jumped around Mceeing on stage while I played records and all the dex wobbled but didn't skip (yes you read that right...Hazen was Mceeing!)...it wasn't until there was 600 plus people raving around like lunatics and 2 Mcee's jumping around did they finally start to skip ...sorry that Andy had to be the guinea pig on the new set up)...Uncle Hazen didn't seem to have too much trouble though...rolled it out nicely inna Temple of Boom styleeeeeee! Apart from the heat and a few scuffles... seemed like everyone was smiling and having a good time, sorry to hear about people getting shoved...next time Karen, come over and stand between me and Brickhouse...we gotcha back sista! |

was a sick nite tho!
only thin that pissed me off was some of the old tunes he was playin i really wanted to hear some new dubs mostly subfocus stuff from his new lp!
