the subs in that place bang so damn hard.. my eyes were shaking.
caught sam's set when i walked in.. FIRE!! tunes all accross the board all mixed perfectly. ending with the matty g anthem!! "this is how the west coast rocks!!"
Headhunter's set was alot more dreamy. if his tunes could get more bassheavy my head would have exploded. DUB BIZ. loved it for sure.
seriously so tired today. dun even know if im making sense. hahaha. |

good night all around. gonna be a shame when the venue is gone. but hopefully the show goes on!
headhunter was definitely on the deep tip, and i loved every minute of it. sam played everything to get the crowd in the mood. tony i missed, because i suck and got there late.
thank you pure filth for another night of hearing loss. i wouldn't have it any other way.  |

Great crowd last night...Peeps was well up forrit...from deep styles, to wobble, technoid and rub-a-dub, the dancefloor was in it! Seriously when I came in with my first mix I thought the building was gonna come down the b-lines dropped so heavy..I looked over at Tony & Mag and was like "Holy s**t! It didn't sound like that when I tried it at home!!!" Great sets from everyone, Mag & Tone brought the heaters and Headhunter went on a deep sea dubdiving mission...GWAAAAAAN MY SON! Sound was booming...we're all gonna miss that spot when it's gone....but we got something lined up on the horizon that I think will bring the smile back to peoples faces...like an ear to ear grin...so stay posted!!! |

heavy heavy heavy. cooler temps made it slighty less of a furnace which was nice. heads were out in full force. caught the end of toni and magi, nice work boys. sam brought the dancefloor damage, and headhunter really blew me away. that super subby minimal bristol sound is killing it for me right now. thank god for ear plugs, that was some serious chest rattling. happy birthday to kemst, hope everybody who got one of our cd's enjoys it. i'll have some more on me whenever you see me out. stay tuned for part 2 which'll be a bit more proper.
(apologies for flaking on the stamina front and not breaking down with you guys, hopefully i can get off wednesday)

Bass was QUAKE'N !! Serious, the bass was out of control.
Heavy dubs from everyone last night - big up the early crew Tony and Magi - guys were gettin things warmed up nicely. You can always expect a big set from the big sam xl!
Headhunter blew me away - I wasnt sure where he was going to take us last night, but he played a full range of bangers, dubby tunes, melodic tunes, and some darkness.
Last couple tunes he played, he credited as being some new tech itch tunes.
ONLY ONE MORE PURE FILTH LEFT!!!!!!! MAKE THIS LAST ONE COUNT!!! |

Big up to the Pure Filth crew for another bass HEAAAAVY night!!!
Damn, the more and more I hear that system - the more i realize how much it BUMPS!!! At one point, I wanted to take a break because my ears felt like they were about to explode but the vibe was so deep i couldn't leave the dancefloor!!! A good, clean, bass heavy sound system is what it's all about! No wonder why i haven't been going out as much as i have been lately - there was a point when all promoters just didn't even care about sound anymore - and the quality of shows drastically declined (in my opinion). Now whenever i see "reinforced by Pure Filth" at least i know to expect quality sound and heavy basslines!!!
Will sure miss this venue but where ever the system gets towed to next - I'll sure be there to support!!!
One more week!!! See you there!!!

Yep. Bass was hittin clean as a whistle. Gonna miss this venue, but I feel like the fact that it is being demolished after a 6 month run from these Filthy bassheads is almost perfect. It has just lended to the exclusivity thus far- and the legend that those who attended will be able to keep with them.
I have a feeling that the underground vibe provided by Pure Filth will continue... |
