That s**t was insane! Thanks to Pure Filth, Smog and the M.J. Higgins gallery for so many great Tuesday nights (and so many rough Wednesday mornings)! That venue will be missed, I sincerely hope the vibe and the crowd follows you to your new home in the near future. I for one will be there, blee dat!

Unparraleled vibes.
I hope the new venue is as grimy as that spot.
The sound in that hallway resonates so damn well.
At one point my nostrols were vibrating to the basslines that cause me a perma-smile for the rest of the night.
At one point i sat back and reflected about what was really goin down, and how that was the last moment that i would expierence what in my mind was legendary for dubstep in la.

The Professionals played a monster of a set, straight up!
Shit was bananas!
Then Mala came up and smacked it!

So I say thank to TOB, SMOG, and The Professionals for putting together something the SoCal needed.

I hope the next spot is as murky and loose to keep that underground vibe.

Amazing vibes all nite long, especially early when Knifedreams was playing all that reggae flavored dubstep, highlight of my night.

Last night was mos def one for the books...

I love going out and hearing all my favorite s**t, and s**t I ain't never heard before. Last night provided it all... stiff drinks, good people, perfect sound. What else could a girl ask for?

Big Up Pure Filth Crew and all involved with making that happen.

Do we have an exact demo date yet? I would love to go get a chunk of that place, sooooo many good memories. peace.

So sad to see a place so historical in LA be toren down. That lil underground layer was built in 1896 and I think last night was the most amount of people it has ever seen!

A HUGE thank you to SMOG, TOB and The Professionals for creating such memorable experiences in my life and really lifting LA Dubstep!

It was so amazing to see (literally) everyone there last night!

for an entire night I raged with my famble and reflected on the end to a perfect summer. Big tings for LA are yet to come! this chapter could not have ended better. There was sexy dripping all down the walls last night. out to the crew for everything. we'll see you all at Hatcha/Benga. my my my...

.....words alone can not really describe what's been going down at Pure Filth for the last 5 months. A community of people have unrelentlessly come together week in week out, participating in and supporting what I can only describe as some kind of musical Cleansing, a Rebirth, a Ritual, a new state of being that we have asked for, worked towards or been praying for...I'm not sure what yet, it's still evolving, no labels just heavy vibes...The first chapter ended last night most definately going off with a BOOM, BIG UP'S THE MIGHTY MALA FOR BLESSING THE SYSTEM and putting those DMZ VIBES UP INSIDE...HEAVY VIBRATIONS FOR REAL!!! At the mo, we are on temporary hiatus until the next musical fueled voyage begins, trust me the next spot is ridiculous! (keep checking Js or Pure Filth's myspace page for the info, the next episode will be here sooner than later!)
We would like to thank all of you who have come together with an open mind and created a special place in the L.A club landscape, not judging and just getting the f**k down, brocking the f**k out and dancing like nobody is watching!
Just so you know, the vibes that you have put forth (+ the green energy supply called money that you have contributed) has allowed us to not only fly in World class talent on the regular but has also allowed us to buy new speakers, amplifiers, cables, and repair blown subs (trust me we have blown more subs along this journey than I thought was humanly possible...those low end bass frequencies are no joke!) We're looking forward with eager anticipation to what is coming next and with your help will provide an environment that will continue to stimulate, recharge and straight shake the walls down!
Keep your ears to the ground and your eyes on the screen...the best is yet to come.

last night was unreal! Mala was all smiles on the drive home. Don't think he expected LA to go off so hard. Man was blown away by the energy, the sound system, and the positive vibes LA put forward. Sam put it perfectly in his post so i won't ramble on but BIG UP LOS ANGELES for the support this summer! YOU helped us create something truely special that people thruout the worldwide dubstep community are talking about. Till next time...

Last night was nuts too. Thank you Sam for playing Chockney Thug, that tune goes off every time. Saw nothing but crunkdubstep dancing going all night.

And to the dick who tagged the painted wall art in the bass bin area, f**k you. Have some respect for a place that treated us all well. It doesn't matter if it's gonna be demo'd either, still deserves respect. Especially if you're gonna tag petty chilidish sharpie " _____ was here".

I was so anxious all day yesterday because I knew last night was going to be awesome.... but i never thought it would be that f**kin amazing. the whole place was shoulder to shoulder bouncing up and down to the sick beats and bass. i didnt want it to ever end.

thank you so much to all who put their efforts into pure filth. the memories are golden.

haven't had that much playing a set since...
the first time i headlined pure filth in it's infancy. incredible night. the profs came thru with that jump-up destruction that made the weekly legendary. mala was unreal, he even played us out with a UK touch on a west coast anthem. class move. gonna miss those nights, regret that i missed so many during the heyday cause of work commitments. but you're all my fam for life and i'll never forget the summer of '07.

me too...the weight of the situation just hit me like a ton of.......ceiling crumbs...Holy s**t...WHAT A NIGHT! Mala was blown away...said it was one of the best experiences he's ever had...when he dropped Cay's Crays remix and everyone sang along...now that was epic!....goosebumps.

Where do i start with this one!

Sam and Neka a massive thank you for making my stay so comfortable and for making your home mine.
Paul thanks for all the driving.

It meant alot for me to finally get to L.A. My Grandad lived and made a career in L.A since the 70's, he died May this year. It was a blessing to finally be close to some of the things he would of done everyday.

I have been lucky enough to visit many countries with my sound in the past 12 months and i can hand on heart say that Pure Filth is without a doubt one of the best nights I've played at. I was absolutely rinsed. Everyone looked like they had been swimming! The Energy level you good people brought during my set was overwhelming at times. The sound system is one of the best i've played on, so clean, and the weight...! Ridiculous. The atmosphere that night was extra special due to circumstances with the venue about to go. I feel extremely lucky and privilaged that i got a chance to play at such a special venue.

Words aren't really doing justice to what I felt and want to say. I'll say no more.

Giving thanks for the experience and the memories.

Peace and upmost respect.
Positive progression in 2007.

chills and watery eyes son! that s**t was unreal...only hope the next spot is as grimey and dark i brought like 10 new heads to filth over the 5 months and each one has thanked me desperately since!! i seriously loved sams comment...i really did feel like i was in on the slow birth of a new genre..sam tony drew steve..etc.. thank you thank you thank you!!!
