bravo.. friction hype and fresh rinsed it. free drinks in the vip was dangerous. woke up in the hotel with a massive headache / hangover. chemical brothers were dope as well.

being right in the middle of the street was the bees knees!! ther was parking metors randomly around the stages it was fresh !!

hype, fricton and subfocus all killed it. got there during subfocus' set. daddy earl sounded great with hype.
a massive party like that in the middle of downtown was amazing. thanks to br and everyone involved in putting this party together. |

For me Friction, SubFocus & LTJ had the sets of the night.
Everytime i see LTJ & Conrad on a big system like that im in heaven.
Conrads flows with that echo fx does it for me everytime.
At that point in my night i was solo and had no care in the world, well, except for the limited amount of space and rude people that just grab you and push you to get thru cause there rolling to hard to think about maners.
But thats expected with a show of this magnitude.
The 21+ area was cool, but would hav3e loved to drink my brews in the DnB area.
All in all it was a pretty cool time, just made me feel a lil claustrophobic at times. |

Yep yep, Subfocus, LTJ & Conrad, Friction, and Hype all put on great shows. Saw some Chemical Bros. as well which was good.
Did anyone else see the guys climbing the rope down the parking garage, crazy!
On a side note, it was a little crammed in the dnb area, but what do you expect at a massive. But other than that, easy parking, easy to get in, fun time all in all.

good times. set of the nite was Friction. the vip area was nice. i had brunch the next day at 1pm at The Pantry up the street from the venue and man i feel for those clean up crews. good show all around...btw it may seem subtle but i always gotta give Bassrush props on the speediness of how fast the lines outside move. |

I got there much later than I wanted too as well; but the festival was absolutley HEAVING!
Top notch production from Insomniac is now standard; but this time they topped themselves. The backdrop of Downtown looming over the party was an image of true fantasy.
Sound was on point, Hype mixing acetate as quickly as he did live is what makes him my favorite dj as far as style goes. Can't wait to hear what he says on his radio show about this night!!!

Wow that was awesome! I had a blast exploring and wandering around. I was honestly a little worried that the production value was going to go down due to the 18+ thing, but I was pleasantly surprised. DTLA skyline was awesome...this this is Los Angeles! Big up Insomniac and Bassrush...that was quite a show! I can't believe I pretty much caught everyone's set who I wanted to see. Now if we can just get the DNB onto the main stage...

Im not sure if this will cause a riot, but i wasnt that into Hype's set at all.
In fact i left at 3:15 cause i was getting tired and a lil bored by his tune selection.
Now ive seen hype play about 2 or 3 times in my day and its not always what its HYPED up to be.
Yes hes a good dj, but i would never say the best.
Friction rinses hype in my opinion. |
