Re: MURDER the DANCEFLOOR
outside of the drama with the record bag being stolen, this party was MAD FUN!
The setup was fantastic, the sound was awesome, the visuals were spot on and creepy (in a good way), the crowd and vibe was good. it is hard to fill out the NOS center unless it is an EDC, but it was a good sized crowd in all areas. all the djs killed it and photek had some serious heat. i had fun. |

Re: MURDER the DANCEFLOOR
^^ aww, that does suck about not playin. Same about Scoobs bag.. what a bummer =/
Part one was pretty damn good, esp. production wise ! They hooked it up (free food, drinks galore) !! Great sets from everyone and dope visuals. I just wish there would have been more poppers and breakers. hehe!
Part 2 sucked a$$ cuz there was no dnb room so I didn't even bother going, but by 2AM i was already over it. What a weird concept to split the party up like that ... at that point it's more of an afterparty then a party anyway...

Re: MURDER the DANCEFLOOR
There was a Jungle room at the hudson, some dude with a mohawk was playing some classic ragga, real dope set, wished I caught his name. I Didnt make it to part one, because I was at wack-ass Fruity loops, watching the promoters totally disrespect Twisted Individual. They started disassembling the stage and lighting rigs while he was playing, blocking the crowds view for a good half hour. Cheesy! |

yea Dave we know Respect crew had nothing to do with it at all.
Eric actually tried to bribe us into abandoning the Frooty Loops party (which has run for years now and incidentally had their date stepped on by technofancy) and play for his event for $500.. We declined.
His comments about the Frooty Loops promoters were 'not cool' to say the least. Also, whats up with technofancy promoters telling raver kids promoting frooty loops to 'stop or we'll slit your throats'?!?!
try that on our crew and you'll be in for a BIG surprise.
BIG up all artists who play music in this scene... SOmetime people aren't aware of the things happening behind the scenes, so dont blame the DJ's, blame the toe stepper-on ers.

Re: MURDER the DANCEFLOOR
i mean, my big thing, is yeah i got paid and everything which hopefully everyone did, but that aint the point, i flew straight from orlando just for this gig, spent loads of time getting the illest tunes to drop, and dude just couldnt be bothered to sort us out. i wanted to play, i know gridlok wanted to play, but it was such a headf**k even getting inside and we only saw 2 rooms, a main room and a side room with hardcore playing. when i talked to eric after about 10 times, he said you guys can just bounce man, we arent gonna have a dnb room, and that was it, no apology, no nothing, maybe they gonna come and want to slit my throat now for telling the deal, i'll be at together as one bro, bring a shank if ya that gangsta.... and yo mista x to the y to the z, you know we getting sillified in vegas. 100 |

Re: MURDER the DANCEFLOOR
It seems like the rave scene has alot of shiesty s**t that happens.
Maybe thats why i dont go, caus ethe drama behind it is so ugly.
If it didnt seem so shiesty and more professional, then maybe more people would go.
I feel like im just venting, but yeah.
The rave scene just seems a lil two faced from what ive heard, but this is just my assumption. |

Re: MURDER the DANCEFLOOR
The situation with AK, Gridlok, and the entire DnB room at the 2nd half of 'Murder' was very unfortunate indeed and my apologies go out to these artists and and anyone that showed up expecting what the promoters had promised.
The production and performances for the first half of the night were exceptional to say the least...
but at the Hudson, it was obviously another matter altogether.
Apparently the DnB room was to be on the Gotham side of the Hudson which was in the front side of the venue as you first drive in, separate entrance and everything.
The story I was told by Eric of Technofancy is that there was supposedly a hip-hop event going on there til 130am that wouldn't allow them to set up til after it ended but through some miscommunication with the owners, that I still really don't understand, they hadn't made any arrangements to set up the DnB room at all.
There were mad ravers crowding the Hudson entrance so I just pleaded with Eric via my cellphone to at least put our guys on in one of the other rooms, if even for a short set, so they can play and fulfill their agreement and also so they didn't feel like they completely wasted their time as well as trying not to disappoint any junglists coming to see them.
I mean, yeh....everyone got paid but who wants to fly 10+ hours cross country just to get turned away?? I sure wouldn't.
Eric said his hands were tied and I could see I was getting nowhere, so I gave up. Plus, I had been at NOS since 6pm so my patience was pretty much gone.
I don't know about the he/she said this or that or what promoters of Technofancy and Fruity Loops did or didn't do.
I dont know the whole story but I'm sure there were many things that could have been done differently on both sides.
Needless to say, RESPECT or JUNGLIST PLATOON won't be hosting any more rooms for Technofancy Events in the future.

Big respect to ya Kelly but I will hip ya to some FACTS, because I know you're not really in the rave scene or a rave dj; check it:
ALL Promoters (Especially n00bz)- STOP making the bitch ass move of running against another party when they've got the date in our scene's calendar. All this does is create tension, difficulties, drama and financial loss for BOTH events everytime - gauranteed.
Work together, follow the calendar and let's support each other's events properly - This will create a closer community (even between the 'Clubby' & 'Ravey' scenes) for all, perpetuate financial success for the events and make most events worth going out to.
