Re: 1/9/08 - Violence Recordings Night @ Low End Theory
First of all, thanks to Hive, Violence Recordings, The Upbeats, Tech Itch, Gridlok and Vicious Circle for absolutely blazing L.A. last night. The music was incredible from the first minute until the last. Another round of thanks is due to XXXL, Magi and Pure Filth for delivering the bonecrushing subharmonics.
And most of all, MASSIVE THANKS to all of the people who endured the freezing long lines due to the capacity issues at Airliner. The capacity situation is a temporary one, and we hope to be back to normal occupancy soon. |

Re: 1/9/08 - Violence Recordings Night @ Low End Theory
I think my clothing got more drunk than me. Seriously the amount of heavy dancing, smiling faces, and top notch beats one after another made this a night not to forget.
Every performer came with a brutal assault of tunes. The order of the lineup was perfect too. We started off with some very techno influenced dnb by Vicious Circle that made me think I was listening to a Offkey Recordings artist with the "technoid" sound as we call it on the Offkey forum. I want that opening track with the lion growls, what the hell is it?
Hive b2b with Gridlok hyped the crowd up like they always do. I really enjoyed seeing them get into just as much as the crowd!
Tech Itch, f**k you buddy! You gave me whiplash! Haha Seriously, the heaviest set of the night. You had the front line getting f**king rowdy for you. And talk about track selection, Jesus Christ man! I heard:
Limewax - One of Them
Limewax - Everything
Mumblz - Gunz Cause Runz
Evol Intent - Dead on Arrival (thank you!!!)
Current Value - You can't play God
and pretty sure I heard RM Bleeps as well. How do you sleep at night!?
To close off the night, The Offbeats came through with pure dance floor smashers. At this point anyone who was drinking was prolly drunk so the crunk dancing started up for abit until we came to the final half hour where we literally took over the floor with some violence. What else would you expect for Violence Recordings night?
Props to Sam, The Airliner, the security for being chill, the mc's for keeping their mic level pretty much perfect, and of course everyone who came out. Make this a regular! |
