everyone was drawn back and it was an amazing group that packed the s**t out of the upstairs and downstairs. So many familiar faces, amazing art, amazing performances and good times. Cant wait for the new venue. itll be sad to see the place actually get torn down. Its like when my dad points out landmarks knew as a child that are now a gas station or something. nothing but the best memories.

the graff was a brilliant suprise
Baby amsterdam was boomin!
sing-a-longs + MC APX 1 was classic
downstairs was PACKED!

I got really sad walking away from the club on the way to the car... The last exit le sigh...

But BIG ups to RESPECT!
that was the best time ive had out in a very long while

Does anyone know when exactly it is being torn down? It seems worthy to document being it was such a staple of the LA scene...

lauren, i *think* they are doing construction to that whole area.. remember the once missing gas station is now that building across the street.. my guess is that they are gonna demolish the bee and build lofts?? who knows??

last nite was dope.. glad so many heads were there to say goodbye to a huge chapter of LA DNB life.. best of luck in the future to the JP kru

seriously i kept gettig teary eyed during everyone's set..

I couldn't help but just close my eyes and remember all the good times, all the times I saw my homies play and all the awesome friends i've made.... I LOVED all the art, it was fuggin' dope! & seeing everyone there was soO nice, I missed everyone soo soooo much! Wish i had more time to catch up with everybody, so much to say and not enough time ya know..

Respect has been a BIG part of my life, so sad to see the bee being tore down, can't wait to see the new venue though

I freaking danced my ass off, and got my new adidas dirty but was well worth it yo!

I miss all of you already!
COME VISIT ME PLEASE!!!!

the graffiti was tight, the vibe was rediculous, and everyone was just having a blast.

The free booze ROCKED. Couldn't of been a better way to bid fairwell to The Larchmont.

Whizard killed it btw.

definately a great night to end the years at the larchmont/bee/etc. the place was packed with all the fam.

special mention goes out to to wheezy and apx1 on the decks for both rocking it.

looking forward to the new spot. massive respect to the junglist platoon for having this club running for many many years

you know i couldn't hear what the mcs were saying when i dropped raise teh roof...

but, i was hoping when i dropped it they would sing along and change the lyrics to "if you're down with Respect, show some proof - raise the roof"

so much fun last nite!

i didn't even have one drink, cause i wanted to remember the nite better. it was pretty bittersweet, i was having such a good time - but never forgeting that this would be the last time i would get to experience the martini lounge/larchmont vibe (f**k calling it the bee, that s**t was gay).

ps - upstairs was rockin. the graff was amazing. downstairs was blowin' up all nite. every DJ brought dope selections and tore it down. the mcs were killin it, the crowd was brocking out.

all the homies were in effect, it was great to see everyone's face.

i just kept wandering around by myself trying to soak up every inch of the place.

Rest in Pieces Larchmont! I definitely want to scoop up a piece of rock and keep it for a souvenier like it was a piece of the berlin wall or something!

ps, can i have one of the plasmas from the wall? hehe.

Thanks will never seem like enough but THANKS JP and all those involved with Respect at TheMartiniLoungeLarchmontBee for making it my home away from home. That place will always hold such a special place in my heart and I know I'll be telling my kids about it one day.

I must have said this to almost everyone I saw last night but it felt oddly like funeral. I was hugging people getting kinda sad, saying "its so nice to see you, you know...under these cirumstances" and then we'd have a toast & drink. It was definitely a celebration of the history, music & impact that Respect has had on our all lives and the entire SoCal community. One chapter closed and we're ready to open another...

It was a freaken rad scene to soak in: packed dancefloor upstairs & downstairs, some of the dopest & freshest graff up on the patio, Andrew/? doing his thing running around inside, drinks flowing and the just good vibes all around.

Again...THANK YOU!

JP knows how to throw a party, and to see my boys kill baby amsterdam like that was...

Massive shouts to the KOG fam in the place last night, thanks for lacing up our home away from home. Special shouts to FISHER.

I had a blast, from start to finish, just walking around checkin the place out for the last time, smoking up the place with the heads that we have smoked up the place with for the last 7 years, religiously.

thank you guys, never forget the good times. On to the next round.

hahaha,im glad im not the only one... i grabbed a lil piece of the wall upstairs(already loose)...its some stupid s**t but i'll put it on my shelf with the bit of the berlin wall, and the screw i took from a seat at yankee stadium...thats prestegious company.

think on the bright side - we won't have burly Russian security guard chasing us around blabbering nonsense anymore (at least i hope not). i'm looking forward to the move but will admit at the same time walking away was not easy after partying there so much for so long. kind of felt like pitching a tent out front just to stretch the night longer. larchmont will be missed but jimmy's is a proper relocation I'm stoke about

it was so packed...what an awesome night... Ive been so used to going every week and it didn't hit me that last nite was the last time...it was in the back of my mine...every once and a while i had to stop and just take it in...wow...

Jimmy's is about a mile from the Larchmont. Thinking back to my experiences at Tilt Electro Sundays, I would expect a larger Baby Amsterdam style patio and a more centralized dancefloor. Sometimes the dancefloor at the Larchmont seemed a little too big, this one should be just right. Especially since so many people tend to kick it patio-style. I'm gonna miss the sushi though fock..

yeah the dancefloor is smaller, but i like the fact that if u are on the dancefloor you are there for a reason! the bar is in the back and so are the couches. i also personally love the DJ on ground level with the crowd...we'll see. change is change but i am amped for the move!

What a way to close out this chapter.
Just sitting there last night & absorbing it all in left me feeling very humble & thankful for the love & support that the people have shown Respect over the years.
When you've been doing what we've been doing for such a long time, it's very easy to forget what the main drive was to begin with.
Sometime's it's moments like these that smack you in the face with a good old fashion reality check.
Respect has faced a lot of different adversities throughout it's existence, some you know about & some you don't. But in the end we welcome these adversities because it's what keeps us from remaining stagnant.
I'm very prowd of my family & I'm even more thankful for all of those that stand behind us day in & day out.
Thank you for making it out last night & to all of those that made the last night at The Martini Lounge a truly memorable & historical event.
They said we couldn't do it yet here we are.
Power to the People & Viva la Revolucion!!!
Here's to the next chapter in what is to be the story behind RESPECT.

Last night was insane!

'you couldn't fit one more person in there' hehe so funny but so true ...

got stepped on, pushed and shoved but was well worth it ! The vibe was thick indeed! I loved the graff in the patio, the circles, poppers and bboys! APX was dropin bombs up in the patio! JP crew and the hazy man held it down propa up on the decks.

It was nice to hang out with family and friends and people I haven't seen in years ! I wasn't able to make it out for the open bar and free food bt happy bday again Paulie!! As Alma put it finally 25 huh? haha

As for the venue change I for one am very excited about it! I remember dancin at Respect @Boardners and dancin at Respect @Martini Lounge/Larchmont and you better believe I'll be dancin at Respect @Jimmy's lounge!

it was real tough walking and driving away for the final time....

ive been going to the martini lounge since i was 19 in 2001. i remember always getting excited when i would see the little neon martini glass outside 'cos it meant i was home.

gonna be sad when i drive through melrose and actually see homes there....but ill always smile and remember the fantastic times!

last night was unbelievable! truly a historic night in terms of LA DnB. everyone was partying! its an awesome feeling being up on stage rocking out some tunes and having a mass crowd move to your rhythm's......

and for allowing me to be a part of it..I thank you from the bottom of my heart L.A!

upstairs was a f**kin ROAD BLOK

easy to see why whilst the mighty APX was on the dex.

great to see all the old schoolerz mixed in with some new faces.

TRUELY honored to have been involed in such a meaningful night.
