Good time saturday nite @ the Detour, it was a packed house, and it filled up fast... I had fun play'n the b2b with the badmon Dj Slyten.. yo evrybody straight murdered the dancefloor with the ill tunes in their arsenals.. from Jakal, to APX1, to Circuit, all the way downstairs to the Pure Filth Familia, and IRAY, and I got to send props out to some of the illest mc's in our L.A. scene doing there thing, Zezo One, Poisn, and Kemst (who is always on point)....
I consumed 4 22oz bottles of Fat Tire, so ya know I had a good time

What a triumphant return of Detour...vibes was thick, APX brought that gangsta s**t, Circuit brought that funk as always, Jahwy & Slyten brought that raggamuffin bizness and Jackal was droppin that heat too...big shouts to Kemst MC and Poisn for holdin down that mic with yours truly...and special BIG thanks to XXXL for keepin that sound system sounding crispy!

The funniest part about that s**t is...I used this SUPER INDELIBLE ink marker that I just happened to have had in my bag...I did a fake tat on my homegirl a couple of weeks ago using that marker....it took like 2 weeks with heavy scrubbing to get that s**t off...
So somebody's dad or boyfriend is NOT going to be happy seein my tag on those girls' boobies for the next couple of weeks...
But as they said "f**k it eh, we dig you!"....now they have something to remember the night by ;-)

Late on this one. But I just had to mention Circuit's set. I realized I hadn't heard a set from Circuit in quite some time. I have no problem with DJs programming the first part of their set; in fact I think it's the way to go. That first 20 minutes was SICKO! I was a little blurry after that, but KILLER set!!! |
