DAMN!!! Last night raised the bar for bass at a dubstep night. Spot was BOOMING!!! Ricky Def kicked it off with some funk tunes he stole out my parents record collection then slid into some heavyweight dub. Knife Dreams reminded LA were Dubstep came from w/ nice little detour thru Basslin & 4/4 amidst his usual fine selection of up front West Coast biz. 12th Planet aka Infiltrata...oh my days...this guy is unreal. Tune after tune after tune after tune. BIG UP all those inside...last nice was NICE!!!

Dizzaaaaaam! All Dj's on point last night, shout out to Ricky Def on the slow burner builder, Knifey with the Rinse cycle and Johnny Boy bringing the Nibiru Shock out set in a Sitchen Styleeee..ya know ya big! Another L.A Soldier off to Europe tp rep the Left Coast...go on son! Sound was absolutely pounding last night (we were testing out 4 new Bass Cabs)...one bottle of Remy Martin and 4 bottles of Absolute jumped to their death from the top shelf of the bar! Don't say me no warn them right?! I'm saying it now...for KROMESTAR...we're bringing in 2 more cabs next week...standard.

Ricky Def aka Ricky ~Smooth~ brought the sweetest funk, soul and deeeep dubsounds last night to the cabinets. Such a dope, diverse set guaranteed to satisfy anyones flava. Knifey jumped right on after that and kicked it up with an immediate smasher followed by a rad set all the way through. Great to see him out. 12thJDeezyPlanetarium brought the effin CHAOS! Such a flawless set as always; droppin the coolest dubs out right now. The sound was PERFECTION last night - glad i could finally make it out to the new spot, i really dig it. Can't wait to go back. |

ricky def brought the vibe that reminded me why i fell in love with dubstep in the first place.
such seamless progression...a true storybook set.
knyphy threw down some BUMP! those tracks had me doin the mc hammer dance (apologies to those who witnessed). bass made me drop my camera. twice. it was a major turn on. knyphy rules.
and ohhhh man.
12th Planet is not your ordinary celestial body. this planet's journey does NOT end where it begins.
he brought a gang of new tunes. a gang i tell you. tunes so large they need their own area code.
#2 bass hole in the ozone.
pure filth sound is out of control.
and it feels oh so right.
sweetest spot of the night: sitting on top of the couch, catching the bassisms. nuff sed. |
