This was a GREAT party! I am only able to be writiing this because the f**king LA Marathon deceded to set up a music stage at 7am to help cheer the participants on 7th St.
This party had everything that is good about underground dance parties.
1.) Dope location- underground, downtown, and fresh paint on walls with a gloss
2.) Friendly Security- you saw em at the door and that was it
3.) Props- yes, you get mad props, but the props I am referring to are the clock, the angel, the SNAKES, and the uplighting around the perimeter.
4.) dope line-up- local boyz kill it everytime, it felt like a few years ago when everyone partied together, you dont see that too much anymore.
5.) Family- I am biased cause it was my boys producing the show, but you cant put much more love into it, and it showed.
Big up all crews!

Maximum respect goes out to all the underground heads in the spot last night. Special thanks to the ALMOST FAMOUS & ASSAULT DRUM & BASS for the booking. This event was off the meat rack. The sound was proper....big up SAM & CREW !! Large up to all the talent on the bill for holdin it down all the way till the a.m. You cant forget about the verbal assassins killin the mic. And thanks to my ride for not leaving me!

yeah man this party was so much fun. it was an honor to be in the company of great DJs from SoCal. it seems like it is getting rarer and rarer that we get "all local" lineups on a Saturday, in dwntwn la and 18+ so it is cool to catch up with everyone at these things (s**t i hadn't seen Hazen in a minute) |

ya danny.. those security guards Were the nicest ever -- i just loved that spot.
it was so soso fun to get down with all the friends...yay
i was happy to see hazen spin because i havent seen him in awhile...*and he killed it
ha...i just pretty much typed out everyone who spun last night..
..but Edit that...~everyone~ that i saw had a really good set..
i had a stupid happy smile on my face the whole night

The spot was dope, props on the props, & sound was bump'n, and the selectah's were kill'n it...
it was tuff trying to find a freeway entrance @ 4:30 in the morning seemed like every street was blocked off in maze like patterns.... |

DEF had a blast @ this event...Was a really dope spot and the vibes were thick...hadn't planned on MCing really (*cough* esp since I had to pay full cover *cough*), but mad shouts to Chris for calling me up and handing the mic over...
The JP fam-a-lam threw it down big time, and my boys brought that Ghetto Life / TOD sound and rinsed it..."from the front row, to the back row, this is for all my people living inna de ghetto!"
only real complaint I had was trying to get outta there @ 5am and having to literally run thru blockades & dodging cops to get to the streets I needed to get to in order to get on the 10...man that was a f**kin mission! (esp for someone who never has really driven in LA by myself! whooo!)
Shout to the AF fam for another proper installment and for bringin all of us together under one roof, was def a good time....

Almost Famous reminds us all of how underground dnb in LA should be represented... everything was proper start to finish.
venue was ILL, an untapped gem!
decor was beyond anything expected relating to an 'underground' party
all crews repped strong and loud!
(the matching Junglist Platoon shirts was a nice touch, i think 'team uniforms' would be hilarious next time)
it was like the hugest kick back evr... LA DnB at its finest

I had so much fun at this party and it looked like everyone else was as well. City of Angels was the most CLASS underground party in a long time. I wish they could ALL be like that!
Big ups Lonnie and the whole AF Family showing that they have not missed a beat in party production.
WE NEED MORE PARTIES LIKE THIS THAT GET ALL CREW PARTYING TOGETHER!!
It was really good to play with the Temple/ Bassrush crew. Yous guys are the big time homies since I've been in L.A. and its too bad we can't b2b2b2b it more often.

This party brought back that old skool feeling again. When you have nothing but good people throwing the event without any politics involved this is what you get. Nothing but positive vibes inside. Myself and Curious were racing all the way out from San Bernardino to make it on time for our sets. When we walked in I felt like it was 1992 again. Smiling Faces and Booming Bassbins. Big up the Pure Filth Sound Monsters for providing such heavy thick bass. It was a great way to finish off the night. Big up my 2 partners on the decks for keeping the energy flowing.

massive massive respect to everyone that helped make this happen. all the way from ALL the talent Junglist Platoon, Tonz of Drumz, Temple of Bassrush, Deep repping some San diego biz, all of whom came through MASSIVELY!, the entire AF family even Riccardo and Courtney coming all the way from Texas(who started AF with dutasta in the first place!)!!!, Assault DnB, the artist on the flyer (cough aero cough), the sound in both areas(FILTHY!), security, everyone who helped in the promotion of the event,but most importantly, the SUPPORTERS!!! whome without, none of this would exist. |

What a huge night!!! I cant even explain how awesome this party was...great timez!! I will never forget City of Angels!!! never!
too bad we got there a bit late and missed the Deep and Temple of Bassrush crews set's....
about 8 of us came from temecula (3 of em for there 1st, and they luved it!), got there around midnight right when the junglist platoon came on...and the vibe was incredible!! Huge Smilez from everyone, everyone dancing, everyone getting there fade on, hassle free security, chill venue, and damnnnn the sound was on point!...the night couldnt of gone better, seriously!
Massive Massive respect to the Almost Famous Crew and everyone else involved....
If you missed this party im sorry....We need more dnb undergrounds like this lol
