i got there super late but even at midnite the vibe was thick, full of good times & celebration! i was sober and still, most of the night is a blur but i know i had a blast simply because i was sharing a very special moment in time with my homies. CONGRATS ON 9 YEARS, DUDES! respect is definitely one of the reasons i will never leave LA.
BTW LOVED THE BALLOONS! they were still floating on my living room ceiling this morning & a nice reminder of last night's shenanigans  |

So last night was an awsome party and celebration for Respect. Machete and CRS got things goin real well, always love hearin that hazard machete tune. Got some dank sushi an free drinks then when Breakage stepped up it was game on, with Dino lighting the mic on fire the room was feelin it big time, til i lit a j an got the boot. Guess im not used to the new venue, err. oh well I got to say thank you to machete b4 cuz that goes out to the whole Junglist Platoon, Thank you for keeping the Bass strong for so many years, mad respect, much love. Excited for the More to come!!!! how was Hive an Gaslamp? Oh yeah, Best of Both Worlds...... 2 words, Fuck Yeah.

It always seems that RESPECT'S anniversary night just kick starts my year.
Last night was amazing. New venue to boot. I really cherish the fact that I have one place where I can go to all by myself and feel like I have a million friends.

they ran out of corona before midnight.
sound is no better than in a martini lounge.
security guys are idiots on a powertrip, obviously hating dnb and its folk.
past few years were great, but i am never coming back to respect until they change venues again.

security at times hated on dnb at the larchmont too. i had a corona around 1:30. dancefloors do get slippery when people make spills (who's fault is that?). sound was banging my ear drums. what the hell is this guy going on about. the steps around the dancefloor perfect to break your neck on? ok i agree with that as i almost fell. from now on i'd rather watch my step than boycott respect jeeeez what a sourpuss!
