Due to the fact that JIMMY'S LOUNGE MANAGEMENT and the surrounding neighborhood cant seem to deal with the amount of bass and increased volume of sound that RESPECT brings compared to their other promotions...
we've been given no choice but to find a new home for our beloved Drum and Bass night.
The last few days have been very stressful and we are not sure how things will progress with ECHOPLEX after this Thursday April 24th, but we were determined to still bring Los Angeles a quality night of great music and good vibes in a venue that has never housed D&B...
and for this, we are really excited.

I'm glad respect is moving the sound was lacking.i guess i know why now.f..k the trendyness of the spot.go back to like when larchmont was the tiki lounge 6 or 7 years ago and we used to get lifted all party long next to the dj's behind the speakers with randy j slangin recs in the corner.f..k the gay breaks and oldschool.respect should b dubstep grime reggae hip hop and dnb strictly.pure filth always bumps and to me because they always push the speakers to the max.respect used to be about the same thing... Give it all she has....i remember the system used to go out and it made me feel like that's how it should b.push the bass to max.i want to have my ears ring on the way home.i want to feel the bass boom 8 ft thru me.i want to remember how it used to be.... |

It's amazing how the right venue, helpful staff, and easy going security make such a difference in vibe, in addition to the talents we showcase...
I felt more at home last night than I did in nearly 3 months at Jimmy's Lounge.
Much props to Baron, Breakage, Raw, Drone, XYZ for bringing heat last night...

All i can say is that I LOVE THE NEW VENUE!!!! It is awesome. The sound was KILLER. That dubstep was rattlin' all over the place. There are many unique spots in the place to chill, just watch and of course DANCE + the stage set up is awesome with a video backdrop of he spot shot from the back + professional soundmen (i think like 3) + relaxed security (they were cool as hell). I am really really digging the spot!!!!!! Ohh yeah all the DJs smashed it too hardcore esp. BREAKAGE!!!!!! |

That spot is insane!!! I hope Respect has the opportunity to stick around there - I was lovin' lovin' lovin' lovin' that spot...
I couldn't believe how dope it was when I walked in the door. The bass fills up the place - and you can feel it going through you, the highs are crisp and not overpowering, to sum it up - the sound was awesome... and the venue is pimp!!!
Like Rob said, felt right at home...

I love it cause it gives the feel like you are in an 'upscale warehouse', if that makes sense. The stage setup is awesome (i can't stress enough). From the lighting, to the backdrop, to the soundmen who are right there (and not to mention the one in the booth behind the crowd). The drink prices are right (corona and a red bull vodka came to $14) and there is plenty of room to dance dance dance. There are couches in the back where u can see the action yet chill in a red lit booth. Man if they had sushi that would be the illest (but for u fans of "danger dogs" there were 2 carts for ya right outside). Love love love the spot!!! |

Walking in the door of the new spot was breath taking! The lighting, sound, vibe, EVERYTHING was superb!
That stage setup is FUCKING SICK! with proper soundmen on deck, lighting techs, security that was as laid back a crew as I have EVER dealt with & the secret spots make it nice to be able to slide away for a few if the need should arise...lol
Massive shouts to Breakage for rattlin the place to the rafters, R.A.W...man, what can I say that hasn't already been said a million times- dawg you blow my mind with the s**t you come up with!...and then Baron with the rough stylee comin thru with the bangers!
Call your mamma, your auntie, ya whole damn fam-a-lam and make sure to get the word out about this place, cuz I (along with MANY others I'm sure...), would be a bunch of super happy MFer to be able to go to that place every Thursday night... |

Unblievably DOPE venue. Why was that the first DnB night to bless that place.
