Smog Sessions / CHEF-6BLOCC
Epic night. party started off heavy with Pawn and EMU throwing down some heavy joints..... 12th Planet and Evol played a VERY diverse set in between them. i think their styles compliment eachother well.. big bass and big leads, dance floor bangers...
Chef came with a big bag of dubs for the masses, its a shame those needles couldnt handle the pressure coming up from those cuts...
but i HAVE to say the night belonged to 6BLOCC....simply said...he ripped that place to pieces....
Big up Smog fam, and big up whom ever made it out...
party was packed with smiling faces

my ear drums were bleeding at the end of the night! jk! Thnx q45 for that earplug homie! Overall a filthy grimey smogy night! Got there when 6blocc was on and he just murderd w/ that RAW ishhhh! 1st time listening CHEF...and he brought some special ingredients from the kitchen and boiled the speakers down!! big ups SMOG and the filthy soundsystem! I like upstairs better than downstairs now! |

LA was on FIRE last night (really, it was blazing for real tho). been waiting time for Smog and what a comeback! Chefal had tunes! spectr posted up with the fresh threads, ladies in the front wiping the floor with their hips a la ivysomething, bartender being generous with the gin, hell even anita and alan came out! yeah, THAT alan! wtf!
big up drewski and sam and the whole crew for pullin together on this. catch ya in 2 weeks for another banger... gives me just enough time to recover. |

Great night. Pawn & Emu brought the homegrown beats & bassism, then 12th and Evol slugged it out dub fi dub...HEAVY.
Next up the West Coasts #1 badboy 6 BLOCC brought the Ruckus...Loved the selection, got the place hoppin'.
Next on the menu was Chef who drew nothin' but dubplates. He had a bit of a time adjusting to the floating decks but kept the big toons coming...the sound was absolutely kickin' last night...Chef definately tested the system to the fullest!
Good job Drew, another one for the books!
Check the official Breakage going away party this tuesday @ Filth. Extended Professionals 3 hour set...lets keep this thing rollin!

Seriously- everytime Smog does one of these parties at the Echo it is top notch.
Place is always rammed. Sound is always crisp and clean. Talent is always on point.
What a wicked time. R.A.W. took the night I agree. But man, Chef had some really warm rollers (is there a such thing in dubstep?) toward the end. Even the bass punching me in my chest AND my back couldn't knock the smile off my face. 
Damn it sounded GREAT in there.
Wish I could've caught Pawn Emu Evol and Dada. Sounds like it was goin off at 10!
Smog on the production and Pure Filth on the sound an unstoppable combination heard round the world I'm sure.

thanks to everyone for coming out and making this event a special one. it was the first smog sessions of the year and we kicked it off with a boom!! Glad to see so many new and old faces, looked as if everyone was having a great time
also want to say thank you to everyone who helped out with the production, especially sam & the filth gang for the amazing soundsystem. big up all the dj's for killin it - everyone of them a headliner in their own right.
also thank you to spectr and the crew for providing the wheat paste exhibit!! that was seriously sick
we're back on track!! check out the smog meets dub war show in a few weeks.

SMOG was crackin at 10:30pm!
Every single set was BANGIN!!!
Pawn, EMU, 12th Planet, Evol = 100% pure dopeness!
Can't be said enough: 6Blocc is the reason that the West Coast rocks!!! That man gives it to ya! Crams the jams like magic! So many tunes! When 6Blocc plays SMOG, he always taps into that deep LA love that everybody's got hiding. When he's on the decks, you can't help but to spill your drink, leap over Kemst, jump on the bassbin and scream OH HELL YEAH! (then scrub the floor, hera-style)!!!
CHEF is the man. He brought it heavy and threw in the slow jamz like magic. Was some serious sexy couples only skating rink business on the dancefloor towards the end! The ladies love the Chefal! They've all got Chef fever to be honest - and thank goodness there ain't no cure!
Such a pleasure to see all the diehard smoggles out! We had peeps from SF and San Diego! Big up staypuft, P-man and Kenz for making the travel arrangements and sharing the love!
Thank you Pure Filth Sound for blasting my guts and bass massaging my thighs! woot!
It's 11:34pm on Monday night and I'm just now recovering! I got a full-on workout from all the ladies! You girls know how to hold down the front line! Swirl bass massive was in full-effect!
Mission complete! Cannot wait for DubWar meets SMOG!
