Dub War. Smog. Hera's Beach Party.
Most EPIC weekend ever.
Dub War brought the New York bassbin vibes that were meant for the Smog fam! I have never seen so many people wrapped in bliss and bass at once!
Mr. Joe Nice, international dubplate slinger, brought the freshest tunes, period! He actually picked up dubs from the Hollywood FedEx on the way to the show! Sh*t was seriously HOT OFF THE PRESS FOR the Smog fam! I lost it when 2 requests were put to needles: All Night Long (Lionel Richie) and the ORIGINAL PERCOLATOR!!! Too much! There is no way that Smog meets Dub War actually happened!!! I was NOT ready!!!
Dave Q - the brains of bass! I have never jammed so hard - and oh does it hurt! Man is out of control! It's only Tuesday and I find myself fiending for a second serving! Dave you are non-stop!
Juakali - pure lyrical soundwaves. He brought such powerful energy to the room that I can only describe as transcending. I loved the parts of the evening when Kemst and Jua's vocals melted together. Jua, you are novel. 100% fresh. 100% real.
Regal...you've done it again! Massive pics! You are such an important part of the bassbin FAM! I love u boy!
Drew and the Smog boys - it's been an awesome year working with you!!!
Saturday was my one year mark - so I could NOT ask for a better way than to celebrate at the show with everyone I love!!! Thank you tons!
Hera, your beach party changed my life. :D And everyone else's too. I think it changed the world as a whole, actually. Joe Nice, beach, dubs, sunset, sand in toes...my goodness. Rita and I had a super hippie moment as we were laying on the beach- haha! We were as close to the earth as possible, level with the ocean, and the sub-bass was buzzing our backs through the sand. It doesn't get any better than that.
Thank you to all the djs, clean-up crew, sound crew and to all the bassheads who made this weekend awesome. Thank you Ricky Def for brining Lolo to the beach as well! It was his birthday too! Thank you Hera, the bassbin-rock-climber-15-foot-truck-driver-bad-ass!
