We are very sorry to let everyone know that due to extreme illness and doctor's orders not to travel, Boys Noize will not be performing at Electric Daisy Carnival. From his hospital bed in Norway, Alex from Boys Noize sent us this announcement to pass along to everybody:
Hi Fans and Friends,
I am very sorry to let everyone know I will not be playing at Electric Daisy Carnival this Saturday. I have become very ill and am under doctor's orders to not travel and instead stay in bed. I feel extremely bad about missing the event and I promise I'll be coming back to L.A. soon. My humblest apologies to everyone who was looking forward to seeing me perform. I had fun....sound was good in most areas....some were too bright or a bit flat...just about all were nice and loud....except the main area seemed unusually quiet.
The production was top notch... very impressive...
Heard good sets from Hype, Dieselboy, Friction, Z-Trip, Dj Dan and Glaude and too many others as I was wandering around.
Overall pretty fun night. Seemed like there was more than enough room....Except for certain passageways between areas. Pretty amazing considering the sheer amount of people from what I heard. Supposedly 75K+! The largest in US history.
My things have changed from when I started going to parties.....I don't think I have ever seen that many buttcheeks in my life.... |

Z trips dubstep! WOW! That took me by surprise. Then I walk into the D&B stage and hype was throwing it down. I was telling by friends next year there should be hybrid D&B/dubstep stage. I had a great time time. Haters should just keep there lame asses at home like the guy that sold his ticket and went home to suck on his thumb and cry to himself. |

Ok so like Evol Intent, mixing flipside feat. blip into middle of the night was something i hoped they would pull back to back and they did and it was off the chain. then Rabbit in the Moon had everyone under mind control. Benny Benassi played a killer set that was more trance than clubby which was ill to kick it at the very rim of the collesium and watch. then Hype..... jesus christ Hype rinsed the s**t out of those decks between the scratching and his dubplates..... all i have to say is, FINALLY THA HERBS COME AROUND!.... Moby sucked, just as i expected. lol. Then during dieselboy.... im sorry but there was a f**kin MC battle an peeps were fighting for rhyme time an it really made it sound cluster f**ked. I went from that an took a nap to some paul van dyk.
As for the Line, yes we did cut in at the street entrance in front of 10k+people, got in the first couple hundred they let through and then still waited a hour an a half to get in, ravers chanting LET US IN! and shoving forward didnt help. Props to the guy who jumped the fence behind the porta pottys in the circuit grounds, from standing on a trashcan.
So Dillinja didnt show up? Guess i walked in perfect timing during hazen an sdf-1 killin it. |

we got in in like 2 minutes, gap in the fence at the very front left of the entrance. we must have saved like 4 hours on that cuz we got there at 7:30 and i have never seen such a long line in my life. Sets of the night for me were
z trip, krafty kuts, hype, dan and glaude, and freestylers all murdered it. diesel boy killed it as well, aside from mc convention on stage. Was not that impressed with a lot of the uk dnb. Was feeling the breaks and electro stages a lot. rabbit is always a trip to watch too. all in all great production, big ups insomniac. just work on those lines.

Good times, my head still is pounding...
Dan b2b Glaude DAMN!!!!!!!!! One of the best house set I’ve ever seen in my life. Glitch Mob was killer, Rabbit in da Moon was great, all the visuals and lighting were off the hook.
Too many dope sets to list them all. Crazy night all around, never thought I hear a “new kids on the block” Drum and Bass RMX. Never seen that much ass in one place before in my life.
DnB room sound needed more highs at the end of the night.
What was the final head count of the night…. LA times said 20,000. But I’ve heard people say up to 75,000. It’s gotta be somewhere in the middle. |

Official estimates are around 60,000 in attendance, but final ticket figures won't be available for a few days.
If it is in the 60,000 range, that would probably be a new record for largest one-day dance music event in the US.
