The Insiders are a dynamic drum n bass production outfit hailing from Bristol, UK. Their take on drum n bass is best described as ‘deep’ with a progressive edge, and over the past few years they have released music on some of the most pretigious labels in the scene. Tracks have appeared on Metalheadz, Creative Source, Renegade, 31 Records, Defunked, Frontline, Good Looking (as Catch 22) and Nu Directions. Ben and Joe have also been keen to showcase their DJ skills over the past five years, with two mix CDs on Renegade (‘Renegade Rollers’) and Nu Directions (‘Infinite in all Directions’).
Tunes have featured in the boxes of a multitude of top DJs including Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Storm, Zinc, D-Bridge, A.I. and DJ Marky. Their new work has been receiving regular airings from Bailey and Fabio on BBC Radio.
2008 is shaping up well for the duo, with tracks signed to the new imprint from Goldie, Rufige, and work forthcoming on Integral, Mac II and Nu Directions. This year has been big for collaborations with other artists too, including work with Random Movement, Soul Intent, Mutt, Saburuko and Survival.
The Insiders have been in high demand as DJs all over the world, with dates across the UK, Europe and the Far East. Closer to home, their Intrigue club night continues to pack it out each month at the Dojo Lounge.

Man Respect is on a crazy consistant streak right now. Rinsing show last night. Roxanne played the best set i have eva heard from her. I was rocking to it and MC Julz added just enough spice. The Insiders tore it up. So refreshing that at Respect one week can be banging jump up, then the next deep funky tunes, then the next old school jams. Insiders = heavy biz |
