Wow, last night was insane... 350+ people at the echo, we hit capacity, and a line out side of people waiting to get in. ALL the djs were on point, and the people came to PARTY!
at 2:30 we still had 100-150 people in side the venue wanting more...i think i can speak for us all when i say 2 years ago, we would have never seen this coming.
2 years ago we didnt have enough djs to fill a night, and now we dont have enough room for all the people that want to attend....
All Djs were on point
the sound was clean and crisp...
the vibe in that place was thiiiiiiick..
the Cupcakes were awesome...
and the family that has grown over the last 2 years is something that noone can mess with...
Big up everyone who came, partied, partied and partied more......
here's to another 2 years of love!
keep your eyes open for oct 25... a little pre halloween bash! |

From the moment i waled in with dave and eric playing it was fire, tune after tune until i left at 2:15.

seriously though, how are we gonna top that next year?
without a doubt, smog 2 year makes it into my top 3 all around best party experiences. the amount of growth that's taken place just in the past year is f**king miraculous. definately could not have dreamt 2 years ago, or even last year, that Smog and LA dubstep would come this far. EVERYONE let loose, so much so that i doubt there was a single dry body left. out to the jet setters reaching from sf, berlin and everywhere in between - it was an honor to share the night with you!! SMOG CREW: YOU MOTHERFUCKERS KNOW HOW TO THROW A BASH!!!! happy anniversary gang!!

okay now that im a little less hungover i just want to say...WOW. what the fuuuuuck man. the night was seriously so freaking amazing...from all the hugs, pictures, laughs, booty shaking/panty dropping beats from all the amazing djs, cupcakes (thanks guys im glad you loved them hehe), drinks, old/new friends, dope art & the best echo park taco truck i want to say thank you so much smog family for such a freakin great night & all the other previous great nights / memories from smog. i woke up to my ears just rinnnnging and lots of laughs from looking at my pictures. im so happy to be part of such a great dubstep fam out here...i love you guys a lot and seriously-
drew, ivy and smog crew: thank you for all you do & love ya lots!!

Just want to send a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came out and celebrated with us for our 2 year anniversary! This past Saturday raised the bar and we can't believe the amount of support we received. The party started off early with Unit & Subcode gettin everyone warmed up. By 10pm the room was more than half full with people goin crazy to the sounds of EMU & Pawn. Knifey & DLX had the building shaking. Cyrus played what he called the best set he's ever done. For a guy who was one of the first dj's to play dusbtep - thats a big claim! Big shout to Plastician for coming all the way out from Norway, right off the plane, straight to the decks and murdering it!! 12th Planet & Evol ended off the night with a huge set of heavy tunes.
We've had so much positive feedback from the other night - you can only expect things to grow and continue! I want to send an extra big shout out to everyone that went above and beyond for this event. Big up to Spectr who's artwork and presence devoured the visual side of things. Big up to Mobius for bringing in more way more sound gear then we were expecting. Big shout out to Gil aka KonspiracyTheory for providing the photo booth - so many people loved it. Huge thank you to everyone who offered to come down early and help decorate, setup equipment, blow up balloons, etc.
Lastly, Id like to say thank you to everyone who traveled from far and wide to reach this party. Seeing people come from such great distances was something we never dreamed we'd see. It's going to be hard to top this one - but we say that after every show we do.
