The Time Machine

On January 9th, 2004 the Almost Famous family will present to you, the junglist massive, a unique party. Join us as we go on a journey back in time through all the different eras of drum n bass....finishing off the night with breakbeat ardkore...with some very special guests from Los Angeles\' past.

Lineup is confirmed. Location locked. Vibe is being created as we speak.

HOLY FREAKIN SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night Almost Famous was the party to be at. We had to finally leave around 2, but it was rocking non-stop off the hinges from start till the time we left....and I'm sure past that too. It was so great to see everyone having a good time. There was like an old school underground vibe with both the music being played and that bomb ass venue. Definitly good times....

Aero, you rock! That was fun as hell to play with you.

Nightstalker, always on freakin point, your set had me nostalgic from begining to end.

Jason, Damn. You freaking KILLED it! Everyone in that place was rocking off the walls to the JUMP UP!

R.A.W., what can even be said? We only stayed for the first half of your set, most of which I couldnt muster up words for. AMAZING should just about cover it.

There was not one thing I can complain about for last night.....Great job guys! Hopefully more of these are on the way!!

great f**kin party guys. old school warehouse style location, xyz smashed my vodka bottle, nightstalker played some CLASSIC gems (piper! torque!) giovanni showed me his penis, jason's set was pretty tight, RA DUBS smashed things up, drinks were freakin expensive(!!), bar line was insane, venue was jam packed full of people, lots of homies came out, and OLD SKOOL was goin off!!

had a great time - im all hung over but it was well worth it!

I finally got "broken in" and got to attend my first ALMOST FAMOUS event.

I am glad I did. I had so much fun. I loved the venue and thought it was hilarious when I came upon seeing the STUFF magazine on the toilet and the stuff in the bathtub in the bathroom. But, than I realize, this is where someone lives!

And, the owner of the place has the cutest and sweetest dog. Once I started patting the animal, it didn't leave me until eventually it just walked away with my heart with it. Damn, animals can be heartbreakers! Ha wait, I am going way off subject.

The highlight of my night was definitely NIGHTSTALKER'S set. The whole set was mind-blowing. It got me dancing the whole time!

I got to see people who I haven't seen for awhile as well.

Last night was really special because it was my first Almost Famous event...actually I haven't been out to a jungle party in a while. I'm so glad I went because this party was so f**king great in every way.

jason, nightstalker & raw - ON FUCKING POINT! I definitely danced up a sweat last night. I had so much fun and I'm so hungover so thanks guys and see you soon.

It wasn't exactly what I expected but it was so chill & such a welcoming vibe. I felt like I was surrounded by friends. There was great music and booze flowin all night. Almost Famous crew, much respect you guys did it proper.

Damn where to begin, s**t I dont know Im just going to start with the venue. Okay location was f**king tight! I mean it was totally an Old Skool vibe, I mean loft, ELA passing by Plaza Del Sol! Damn Baby brought back so many freakin memories with just the drive to the venue. Seeing the Plaza Del Sol definetely had my going and ready for the night!!! Once I got to the party I knew it was going to be a good night! The vibes were flowin out of the venue!

Aero and .Com you guys played a good set together! It was just what I needed to get the party started off right. Once I got in the room I was feeling it immediately! There was no denying the need to just let go and jump into the sound! I couldnt resist I tried but it was just to good to let pass me by!

Nochestalker damn baby I can honestly say you satisfied my needs last night if not over worked my ass! Shit you were being ruthless, didnt give us a break and you knew it! Your crowd presence is amazing you always are into the music, it is a joy to see you perform and to hear you is just overwhelming! I tried taking breaks here and there during your set and you didnt allow me to, you kept bringing the tunes. I would walk away and hear another one of my favs being dropped and Id have to run basck in through the crowd to rock the f**k out!!! You unloaded on our asses and wore my ass out for sure, just as I thought I was going to take a break Jason was preparing to take his turn on the decks!!

Jason all I have to say is YOU AMAZE ME EVERYTIME! You always play the dopest f**king sets, you drop the choons to get us going and keep it up. Classic after classic you were bringing the jump up and getting us all rowdy! Damn it was so fun!!!! Your set was off the hinges! Thank you for playing all you played last night I needed to hear that s**t again! It felt so good the vibe was united like if we all missed it and we all were indulging and grasping onto the moment! Damn I miss Jump Up!!! Jason you rawke and nevewr dissappoint me, only make me more fond of your talent!

RAW like .Com said there is really no words to explain his set. I mean Ive been trying to get my thoughts together all morning to post up my review and yet RAW leaves me speechless AMAZING is a good word to explain his set, I am still left in Awe. Played some tight DUBS nice s**t coming form the decks! My only thoughts on this man is he is definetely like no other "RAW is the MAN!" And he shows us everytime!!!!


Dennis Moore and ALexander you guys brought back so many fond memories of my youth. You all had everyone feeling the music, it was beautiful. The vibe was perfect every tune you guys brang brought a memories to mind. Oh I cant even tell you all the happy faces I seen while you guys were droppin the tracks! Jeff, Hazen, Rob, Mayra, Lonnie, Peter, Jason, Liad you guys all rawke and definetely had the dancefloor going! It was so good to see you guys going off, good feelings flowin all around!

and last but not least bringin the night to an end yet gettin it going again! Jayvon! You are definetely a crowd rocker! Damn the tracks you were droppin just woke my ass up! I was full of energy again, I was winding down and you recharged my ass! The night couldnt of ended better!

Vibe was good, so many familiar faces, I seen so many people there I cant thank you guys more for making last night possible!


I am still in Awe and Satisfied you guys brang it Proper and totally made me feel like I was a kid again. Almost Famous Crew Thank You all once again and all who put into this party!

Time Machine got me going and Engage is gonna finish me off!!! Im ready for tonight! A great weekend for LA this week!!!! Weekend aint over yet dont snooze on MATRIX tonight at ENGAGE ! See you all on the floor for another satisfying night of some DnB!

i should have known that place was going to be packed. i'm surprised the fire marshall didn't shut it down there was no room to move around whatsoever. a lot of cool people there for sure, but there was nowhere to sit down! i wasn't really feeling the sardine-can status with no ventilation.

jason's set was the highlight of my night. i managed to get a spot on the couch but then my friend wanted to go smoke a cigarette. we ended up leaving after that, it was way too crowded and hard to breathe. i had trouble feeling it after working crazy hours all week and being sick. i wish i'd felt better last night i'd probly have enjoyed it more and definetly been able to stay longer. but all the factors mentioned above plus me not feeling well made it a s**tty outing for me. glad everyone else had fun! maybe i'm claustrophobic but it seemed like there was nowhere to go chill out. chairs next time and maybe some fans would be a definite plus.

time machine was my first west coast party ever (Boston jungle massive represent!). let me just say that my transiton into the L.A. jungle scene was made alot easier thanks to last night.

i was there from 9-4:30 or whenever they made jayvon end his set. EVERYONE FUCKIN KILLED THAT SHIT!! the venue was straight lit last night. highlights for me would have to be witnessing everyone DJ'ing there for the first time. R.A.W...now i know the deal. thanks for taking me to school last night. i have ALOT of catching up to do. NIGHTSTALKER...jaysus christ...you had me brockin the f**k out for sure. straight up fuego in there. Jason, I'm sorry to say that i had never heard of you, being from the east coast and all, but i can assure you that i'll attend any events in the future with your name on it. you rinsed it out proper.

jayvon, rinsin sound is f**king tight, bro. you absolutely mashed it up last night. i just wish the place had been as crowded as it was earlier in the evening, so more heads could have enjoyed the dopeness that was your set.

i'd like to thank lonnie for the CD, being wicked chill, and coming up to me throughout the night asking if i was enjoying myself. i enjoyed it to the fullest.

i'd also like to thank all the people who had no idea who i was, but still included me in their blaze sessions (it was also my first time blazin the cali goodness). thanks for making me feel welcome in my new home.

I'm really bummed I couldn't make this party. PLEASE do another old school event soon! Pretty please with sugar on top!!!

I have been so slow at work that I'm losing my mind, but of course, yesterday got HIT. I ended up working nearly 15 hours straight (no lunch, no breaks) for our newest big client. I walked out of my office at about 2:45 a.m., came home, ate a bit of food, drank a ton of water and went to bed.

I have been hearing good things about the LA drum n bass scene for awhile and so far it has not dissapointed.....I just moved here from Atlanta about a month ago and am really enjoying my new home.I've been to Resepct a few times and enjoyed it but this Time Machine exceeded my highest expectations by about a million.....Jee-ziz Kee-rist that was a great party.....R.A.W. schooled a newby from da souf on why his rep is so deep and the old school breakbeat that followed ha dme wishing I had been young enough to see this stuff played at warehouses the first time aorund......Amazing sets amazing venue amazing crowd, like the dude from Boston said the people in the LA scene make you feel at home, they are just cool peeps..Peace to the breakers who kept me entertained in my blazed state...See yall at DJ SS at Respect this week...And does anybody know what is up with puffin green at respect? When I first went there when klute rocked it there was mad herb smoking going on but lately security has been thick and I haven't smelled herb in the air....It would be nice to blaze one on the patio after almost finishing a long work week and greet the friday with a dazed grin....See you all at the larchmont......

i know i'm kinda late throwin in my two cents but i just had to say i loved this party! much props to Ricardo & Lonnie you guys throw a great party! all the talent bought it like i knew they would. it's good to hear the old s**t live every now and then and not just on some old mix tape. i think that TIME MACHINE will be remembered as one of the best parties of 2004. can't wait 'til the next Almost Famous party!
