Mac OS X ?'s
Has ASIO been eliminated under OS X?
If so, does this mean you can now run more than 1 audio program @ a time?
What about MIDI set-up. I'm assuming OMS is no more? |

Re: Mac OS X ?'s
ASIO is still supported under OS X...but you can have multiple audip apps open at a time.
OMS is gone in OS X...thank god. MIDI setup is ten times easier than it was in OS 9 and below. |

Re: Mac OS X ?'s
awesome!
Is there a need for ASIO though?
Meaning...
Are the Mac audio drivers under OS X faster in terms of latency as compared to OS 9 and below?
Is the latency still so bad that you should use ASIO?

Re: Mac OS X ?'s

Re: Mac OS X ?'s
audio units are vsti's basically. There's even a vst > audio unit wrapper. Logic 6 only accepts audio units, so if you want to use vst's, you'll need to use the wrapper |
