Re: Problems Recording With Serato
Offhand, I'd have to say your levels are probably NOT fine. What are you basing that statement on?
Are you using an AD-DA converter at all? Is there a preamp on any of the inputs? Are there any pads in your signal chain? If you describe your situation a little more, that would help.
For the record, buffer has absolutely nothing to do with volume levels. It is a processing rate and has to do with memory.

Re: Problems Recording With Serato
I'm playing vinyl and timecode records through serato hooked up normaly, recording from the output of my pioneer mixer.
I will say it again. the levels are fine... I have recorded MANY CD's and Tapes. It just sounds like it's clipping occasionally. There is NO clipping in Serato, my mixer, or on the soundcard/computer input.
The 'noise' is heard only when I play the recorded file back.
When I record in logic, the left level meter spikes up randomly, not in sync with the music. If the file was clipped logic usually lets you know, and says ' blah # of samples are clipped, would you still like to save?"
When I record in peak everything looks fine, no clipping etc., but once I reference the recorded file it has that noise.
Thanks for all the help guys! I hope we can figure it out! |
