CALLING ALL PRODUCERS! United Records signing/licensing trax
Hey all you hard working producers! We are searching for the fruits of your labor and offering compensation!
United Records is a record store in San Diego. My boss has been in business for about 13 years and he has experience running a couple of house labels as well.
We are currently scouting tunes for United Records' new label. Tracks that are selected will be offered as a part of a compilation series which will be available on CD, Vinyl multi-pack (2x12/3x12/etc), and bundled-only digital formats, and potentially one 12" EP vinyl release. These will be offered through various channels of distribution.
All subgenres of drum and bass will be considered (tech, neuro, liquid, hard-style, jump up, dancefloor, ragga f**king jungle, etc). The purpose of the compilation is to offer a good value for a well-rounded bundle package. You will be offered an advance along with a percentage of sales. We will move forward with the next compilation as soon as we have signed enough quality tracks to the first one. The dual CD compilation will have one CD which is mixed and one which is not mixed. Not sure who is mixing the compilation yet. Please send demos for consideration.
*Please note that if your track has been signed to a label, it may still be elgible for consideration for the compilation depending on quality, format and label. Different rates will be offered for exclusive and non-exclusive licensing of tracks.
If you produce any other genres of music, we will also be doing compilations in other genres (electro house especially).
My next project with the series I will be focusing on after we finish this first one is a compilation of transition tunes. What I am looking for are tracks that come down into another genre for a minimum of 3 measures (i.e. DNB with an electro comedown of 3 measures that returns to DNB, a track that changes from DNB to dubstep for the remainder of the track, electro with dubstep, breaks with techno, hip hop, house, hardcore, etc). The purpose of this compilation is to provide tools for dj's to allow for smooth transitions for ecclectic multi-genre sets.
Please hit me up on AIM to send tunes or ask any additional questions. I look forward to hearing your work. Thanks for your time and big ups for all your hard work! Those of you who I have already been in contact with will be updated soon!

Re: CALLING ALL PRODUCERS! United Records signing/licensing
P.S. I'm not a dub whore and I don't share tunes, so don't worry about anyone just trying to get your goods for personal reasons I have respect for your dedication to your artform and treat this position with professionalism. I wouldn't do anything that might jeopardize my reputation. |
