Phantom 45, a Chicago native and drum n' bass icon has been and continues to be the gateway through which many enter the world of Drum and Bass. One of the first world recognized US Drum and Bass artists who has traveled the world over. Phantom has seen the world change and plays the rhythm of this transformation every weekend with his brand of smokin' Jungle/Drum-n-Bass.

Influenced by U.K. producers such as DJ Hype, Andy C. and the entire moving Shadow label, Phantom 45 began to forge a new way of presenting this musical movement in the U.S. as far back as 1991. His understanding of Breakbeats, House music and Rave culture increased his demand as a touring DJ, landing him the Chicago Krush Rinse Tour with Danny the Wildchild and Dr. Groo in 2000 and The Fully Sorted Tour in 2002!

As he sees it he's "just playing the tunes people need to hear" speaks volumes, for he spins what he feels - nothing more..nothing less.

In 2001 Phantom embarked on a mixed CD project for Strictly Hype Recordings entitled?. "Booked 003". Booked was a series dedicated to the life of the performer.

The DJ that stands apart, pushing the envelope of music with his or her sets...with their music. The travelers, the artists, making their way across continents from airports to hotels and back again.

In 2002, Phantom followed up with another outstanding mix CD compilation, "Fully Sorted" on Surge Recordings.

The Phantom continues to rock the clubs in 2008 and is planning to hit the studio soon to give the people another musical masterpiece.

DB, sometimes known as DJ DB, played an important role in bringing the sound of drum'n'bass to American shores. Emigrating from London to New York in 1989, DB kept tabs on the developing sounds of the British dance underground, and founded the NASA club, which was credited as the first American party to showcase the harder sound of breakbeat techno (which eventually became jungle/drum'n'bass).

In 1993, he became the A&R director of sm e communications, one of the first American labels to release drum'n'bass music in general, as well as one of the first to showcase American artists in the style.

In the meantime, DB continued his work as a DJ, and also mixed the volumes in sm e's excellent History of Our World compilations.

In 1996, he co-founded Breakbeat Science, the first record store in America devoted exclusively to drum'n'bass and all its stylistic offshoots. DB departed sm e in 1998 to found his own label, F-111; the following year, his mix album Shades of Technology became one of 1999's more acclaimed and admired drum'n'bass mixes.

DB next masterminded a Bukem-type compilation of F-111 tracks, The Higher Education Drum'n'Bass Session, which appeared in 2000. His official follow-up to Shades of Technology was released on the new Breakbeat Science imprint in summer 2001, under the title The Secret Art of Science. By 2005 he was on his fifth volume of the Breakbeat Science: Exercise series

Dj Odi is one of New York City's finest jungle djs. his performances date back as far as 1989, when the 14 year old harlem native began djing for various events in his neighborhood. his musical interests took a new turn in 1992, when he began promoting for the nasa parties of new york city. it was at these now-legendary parties that he gained his first residency, and began his career as one of america's most sought after jungle djs. Odi's talent and ability to please a crowd quickly gained him notoriety. he began touring nationally in 1995; his immaculate sets packed dance floors everywhere with a party vibe that became synonymous with the dj odi name. his signature style was characterized by his unique blend of scratching and sampling, both of which were more prominent elements of hip hop music. his creative fusion of hip hop and early drum n bass rapidly gained popularity among djs and producers, and it was through this fusion that odi has been credited for the development of "hipstep" (a.k.a. "jump up") jungle. his accomplishments as an innovator of urban music were further recognized in 1998, when odi became the first jungle dj to ever be accepted into the prestigious zulu nation, forever demolishing the barrier between hip hop and drum n bass.

While dj odi is best known for his live performances, he is also an established producer. his production history goes as far back as 1995, with releases on both bml and the now defunct jungle sky label. he also pushed his craft to larger levels with his successful foundation of the digital konfusion crew. recently, odi has been working with the digital konfusion crew to spearhead their record label and clothing line, as well as running two successful radio shows on www.nycjungle.com .

Orgin has will join label mates AK1200 and GRIDLOK on stage at STATESIDE to showcase some of his all new unreleased productions.

As of late Orgin is currently producing for Project Fifty One is about to release a new double CD entitled "Autopsy" with a DJ mix by AK1200 featuring Gridlok, Shy FX, Pendulum, The Upbeats, Hive, Gener8, Jo'B of LA Riots, Tech Itch & Dieselboy. Orgin’s original productions will be released on the unmixed CD with two tracks on the album featuring with the LA Riots and another featuring George Clinton. Origin has also been busy working with Gridlok on a single for Total Science's legendary CIA Recordings. The "AA" side is "Snap The Whip" featuring Gridlok & Origin on a Jungle Exploration Mission. This track is being supported by the likes of Andy C, Dieselboy, AK1200, and many others. He is also in the studio with Reid Speed with his new act BEEB which is smashing with new break beat releases. He is also finishing up the “White Christmas album featuring none other the Philly’s finest Armani Reign. In addition to this hectic production schedule he is currently in the studio working on a soundtrack for Sony Screen Gems, working with world-class musicians being headed up by a former Nine Inch Nails member.

For many years Deep in San Diego has been a staple of Southern California Drum and Bass. Deep has been the first to break many deejays, tracks and careers. Without deep many of the acts we have seen would not have been possible. Many so friends, so many sounds, so many memories.

After this Thursday many of those who religiously got their fix of drum and bass, socializing and relief from life’s pressures will no longer have a place to call home.
