Style: hiphop jungle (party vibe sh*t)
Comments: In my opinion, good selectors go madly unappreciated whilst technical bullsh*t gets the constant *yawn* rotation. This is an instance where the DJ comes off more an experienced listener and less an O.C.D. victim. Mad joints on here... Ragga, mashups, oldschool hiphop, "underground" hiphop... all properly layed out and brutalized (on a live radio set nonetheless).
Pinnacle of excellence (during the mix): Talib/Mos Def's "Fortified Live" instrumental blended with Mos Def/DJ Honda's "Travelin Man" accapella then blended into General Malice's "Platinum".
Had to hold my head on that one. Nuff respect. |
