CAN A N*GGA GET A GIG (REVENGE OF THE MC)
I got a new CD, aptly entitled “CAN A N*GGA GET A GIG?” (THE REVENGE OF THE MC). The 1st half of the CD is good hard jungle (sum ol’ hardsteppin’ jungle) and deep bass (check dat amp) (circa ‘95-’02). The second half is Gangsta Hip Hop meetz jungle (ie. The Chronic Album meetz Congo Natty) also there is Dancehall, hip hop mixxtures (ie. Dead Prez meetz Jay-Z) and more introspective hip hop (ie. Mos Def). So if u’d like a copy let me know, if u need me to mail you one hit me up via email (chris.lakey@umusic.com). And for the record I don’t want a gig, itz just the title, but up-coming DJs feel free to use this quote when talking to promoters (say it like Chris Rock and watch the laughs come).
Other CDs I got:
“For The Girlz And ‘Dem” (ol’ skool mash up stylez, ragga, fusion ‘Techno And Jungle Ravers)
“As If I Cared” (live from Vibeflow, all different styles with special cameos from Nostradamus MC and Kemst MC)
“Shut Ur Monkey Face Up And Dance” (‘jump up ragga and ‘steppin’ jungle tunez to make u stop ur bitchin’ and whinin’ and DANCE)
“Xrosspollination” (hip hop fused up with jungle. The latter part of the CD is a decdication to the pioneers of both sounds of jungle and hip hop with a special medley to them. I.e. EPMD, Remarc, 3rd Base, Engineers Without Fears, Afrika Baambata, Dred, Biz Markie, Nico etc.)
Coming Soon: Revenge of the Futuristic BBoy 2003 A.D. (a CD specifically for the jungle poppers and breakers and dancers where I just spin classic jungle breaks ‘not songs’, but the breaks that make up the foundation of jungle songs we know of from ‘92-’03)
Coming Soon: “Self Sufficient” (me MCn’ and DJn’. Well technically it is not “self sufficient cause then I would need to produce, but all in good tyme, ‘my fine yung meng’)
Coming Soon: Hopefully sum Live Shit from the Ghetto Life Camp.
New MCn’ CDs I got:
“The Law of Evolution” (DJ Law w/ MC XYZ live @ Evolve: This set is killer trust me, Law putz it down with a good track selection and I come in only to ruin it 
“Meltdown” (DJ APX-1 w/Kemst: I have a FEW (hence the werd FEW) free copies of this, but after that u better head to ur local record store to purchase a copy, Kemst comes killer esp. in the intro, while APX lays down phatty tracks. Ghetto Life biznezz, peep APX-1 opening up @ Gorilla Warfare on Sat. and sum of the G. Life crew mashin’ it up in Diego on Thurs. (me, kemst, apx & subflo)
I’ll have a all of these CDs at Jungle Riddim (SD this Thurs.), Gorilla Warfare (on Sat.), Heavy Artillery (next Weds.), Respect (next Thurs.) and Evolve (next week) so try to see me then. If I’m performing keep ur hands up or catch one in the grill (ninja starz style). . . . .

So, I come home last night to find this neat little package on my doorstep. I open it up, put one of the CD's on and I am blown away.
It was awsome. This is deffently a man of many talents.
I was sitting there in my kitchen making a snack and I couldn't keep from dancing. Just couldn't stop moving.
Deffently a fresh CD that you all gotta go check out ASAP!!! I promise you'll love it. Can't wait till I get a chance to listen to the others!
