Capital J - Droppin' Bombs
Droppin Bombs is without a doubt one of the best drum n bass DJ mixes on the planet right now. It starts out funky with some junkyard jungle selections laced with SWV style vocals, two-step rhythms and jumpy one-drop bass licks. The mixes in the beginning of this CD are programmed so sweetly making you want to get up and start dancing no matter where you are listening to it.
One such mix has J blending his very own remix of LK with a ragga vocal from a track he spins right on top of it. The two go together like gin and juice making it the best version of LK I have ever heard and one of the most remarkable live remixes I've heard.
J smoothly leads you from the funk to the amen mash up business like you have never heard before. He drops plate after plate of N2O nastiness that is known to make the everyday junglist mosh like it’s a f**king punk show.
If you’re not familiar with the new mash-up movement I suggest you go to Gorilla Warfare tonight because it simply does not get any better than what is in store when Capital J battles the one R.A.W.
I give this DJ mix 5 stars.
