ALDER + KARL CUTTA > LIVE
This mix @ the REAL, ONE AND ONLY KONKRETE JUNGLE in NY is off the meter!!! I just listened to my free copy yesterday @ werk and I have to say, I miss home now. The vibe was rich, the crowd was supportive and for a live recording, Alder was on point!!! Karl's lyrical skillz exemplified the fact that a good MC knows when to shut the f**k up and let the mix breath. He supports the tracks and knows when to call out the original productions that were played that night. I'd have to give it up to my homeboy MC Zezo for rippin' it as well. On a personal note, it was funny for me to hear all my friends voices in the background, screaming and showing support for, who I think, is LA's FINEST DJ on the live performance level of things. I got my free copy b/c I designed the cover, but you should go out and buy one b/c the stateside DnB scene is on the rise right now. We need to continue to support our artists in any way we can.

what an accurate review.
word up and respect to jo-s and all those supporting independant artists!
this is one of those mixes that gets better every freaking time. the only thing i've rinsed as much as this would be R.A.W. "Live at Audio Impact w/MC?" and Hive's "Hip Hop 2023" ...
every drop. every lyrical buildup. every reload. so dope.
this cd is proof that it's not just the music itself that is inspirational, it's the skills of the DJ and MC that created the vibe and in the end it's their energy that built those skills.

One of the best mixes that came out this year. Complete journey through some of todays hottest sounds. Excellant mixing, great MC'ing by the Karl Cutta....all around must have mix CD. There was a lot of heart poured into this mix, reminds me of listening to mix tapes....when people put effort into creating something special for the listener....

the liveness of the cd (literally and figuratively) made this CD really phat! I didn't like the other MCs too much, but it didn't take away from the CD. Damn that crowd seemed amp'd as fuk *dreams of la parties ever becoming as amplified*. Good shillznit! |

This CD is awesome...i love hearing all the people getting all pumped in the background!
This is the only CD you need to buy all year!!!
Mc Karl Cutta really shows what a fantastic MC he is with his rhymes over Alders fantastic mixing. I still can't believe this was all done LIVE!!!! DEFINETLY a extraordinary CD!! if you don't have a copy, you better get one!

Yeah that CD is definetely the bomb diggity! I was listening to it last night as a matter of fact! Alder and Karl work well together, always a treat!
Dilemma is my favorite track for sure, I love how Alder mixes in the song after to track 10. Dammit I know the song it was one of my top favorites at one point but I cant think of the name! grrrrr!
Anyhow this CD rawks! But could you expect anything less then awesome from ALder and Karl! |
